Geez, I was going to suggest we use an ancient traditional Japanese measuring system (a specific iteration used during the Edo period), but you seem so strongly in favor of metric, I guess we should go with that.

Seriously though, whoever comes up with measurements in one system, someone else will probably post a conversion of it. I'll start. The circumference of my Sgt Fang mystery is 2.389 shaku. Anybody?
