Sideshow Life-Size Fett

    Alex,

What an amazing job you did with the paint scheme...Always preferred more of the topical technique when it comes to realism and you nailed it! Would of preferred a smoother LEFT gauntlet design rather than the ridged version used but it's certainly a jewel of a statue. Any Jetpack angles?

    Congrats man!

    hey Alex,
I took a pic or two of the Sideshow Boba while we were there.
This one shows the colors a little better

I have a much larger version if you want me to email it to ya

I also found this selection of pics on Rebelscum.com of just the lid Rebelscum.com: San Diego Comic Con 2012. I think this shows quite well how this piece will not be wearable.
Ha Ha! These weren't suppose to be posted!!... oh well, thanks to Dave Myatt at Rebelscum.com.
And please keep in mind that everything is still in a "prototype" stage... so what you see on the inside is not at a production level just yet.

Thanks Christian, so glad that you were included in this project, you really came through with an amazing pack. I do have additional pics of the pack from the studio, I will see if I can get permission to post them. PM Me.

Thanks Nate, great shot of it...gotta say when I painted the Jetpack I totally thought of replicating the one you painted for Jeremy...

The scope on the blaster has a few things wrong with it: Rear bell looks wrong shape (diameter transition too sharp), windage unit too far forward and front scope ring is the wrong way round.

    SAS,

Saw you posted this on the RPF too... we were already aware of all of those, thanks though

Man, that's an absolutely gorgeous helmet!
Just one minor detail point: on the right ear, there are 10 small vertical stripes. Should be 9.

    Re: Sideshow Life-Size Fett

Been gone a long, long time - been trooping in my Bobamaker Fett since joining the Legion after being recruited from here, but I wanted to congratulate you guys on this and I had a question...some of the wording calls it a Boba Fett Life-sized Figure. Others statue. It had me thinking and wondering if it was posable or basically the whole thing is stiff with the exception of the helmet on a ball rotation?
Honestly, a figure would make it more than worth it. It would be pretty sick.

    Again, gratis to TDH!

Time for me to eat my words....lol....this looks amazing! I don't know how sideshow takes their photographs but this piece looks . I've seen it many times where people buy a piece and take their own pics and then i buy. I just need to figure out how much overtime i need to work to buy one..lol

Chucky, the initial Sideshow teaser pic was taken by me, and we were all very shocked when it was released when they did, as it was just an update pic that I was required to send them. And with my horrible photography skills it was never meant to be seen as anything more than an "In Progress" pic. Trust me, if I would have known they were going to tease it, I would have taken better pictures. Ha Ha!
As you can see the final product came out amazing.. and that's all that counts.

And as for the production version, I can assure you that there are steps being made to make the final retail/production version as close to the proto-type as possible, as we are still working with Sideshow throughout.
I'll say it again, I think everyone will be extremely surprised when the production version comes out, Sideshow definitely has raised the bar and wants to get it right...and with our help, they will.

Here's another great pic from a few friends at Kotaku:

Is this thing dead? I think it's gone from their site. I was actually looking forward to what they would come up with.

Did they have to put the knee armor upside down? In homage to the carbonite chamber scene?

It was to be accurate to that scene. But it's able to be put on both ways. It's not stuck that way.

Would be hella cool, but basically all my fett will be once I'm done collecting everything. Can't imagine them being able to turn a profit on these, unfortunately.
