Sideshow Life-Size Fett

Seeing this thing does not instill a lot of hope in me for the efx ESB hero helmet. I will probably save my cash and get a LM fett kid instead.

Can someone photo-shop and bring the helmet down to see if that helps at all? Maybe the toy show assembled him incorrectly...I hope...

Well that's an ignorant statement if I ever heard one. Sideshow is not efx. I know gino and he is VERY anal. It's being handled differently then this was.
Speculating doesn't do anything but get people rialed up about nothing.

Can't imagine eFx being able to pull off the China bit either. Nothing on Gino and his attentiveness to detail or what not. Just not gonna be something I see them getting away with except on a miniature where much detail is lost in size.

Maybe I was a tad off base, but given the people that worked on this project at the start and seeing how it is more than likely to turn out, we would be remiss to think that the same thing couldn't happen to the ESB hero.
Either way, I'm probably just goig to get a LM instead because I'm sure the efx run will get snagged up before many of us get a shot at one.

What is this LM that you speak of?

I know its a different animal but did you see the EFX vader? It looks amazing. I think EFX will do just fine. The MR helmet wasnt bad. The paint scheme was a combination of 2 different ones but overall it was a nice helmet. I wouldnt speculate about that until we see something.

As for this sideshow lifesize..i think they missed the mark on it...BUT if they were to fix the arms and lower the helmet, i think it may be ok..and by ok..i just mean...ok. lol

here's a 'shop of the helmet lowered...

That looks better with the helmet lowered. But still, that's a lot of money for something that misses the mark on so many areas. The range finder is just a chunk of black plastic and the visor looks like a thin sheet of acetate. Not to mention the wrong chest logo, which is just inexcusable. I actually think the paint job looks pretty good for a production piece though. The colors look ok.

And what is up with that big burn mark on the thigh? That's the kind of stuff that would bug me.

i agree with everything you just said Matt lol

the emblem...i mean really there is NO excuse for that..and what IS that burn mark on the thigh????

Probably turned to deathsticks due to lack of parental upbringing....dropped one in the old Slave1 he did.
Definitely looks WAY better with the neck proportioned....

The chest logo is pretty bothersome and to the life of me can't understand why the fan club pushes the inaccurate one?! Disney should really move to correct it as well.

Sideshow also used that logo for their life size bust.

I was really hoping this thing would turn out great. Now I just feel bad for everyone that pre-ordered.

I found a youtube video that shows a lot of detail. I don't want to keep harping on this thing, but look at that chest light sequence. And the ROTJ skull on the shoulder. It would have cost no additional money on Sideshow's part to get these kind of things right. All they had to do was follow the prototype.
