Sellbuddy to sell your items

I'm starting this thread to try to get more people familiar with stormrider's sellbuddy software. It's easy to set up and use, I am currently using it for my FPH2 light kits. The software keeps track of current inventory, shipping information, and generates automatically a Paypal invoice for the buyer. There are a few videos on YouTube on how it works, and whether you are an established seller or a new one, sellbuddy can make it a lot easier.

i highly recommend checking out the videos and giving sellbuddy a try. It works and it helps out a fellow TDH member (SR wrote the software and spent a lot of time, energy, and money to get it off the ground).

I do appreciate all the word of mouth. More than any of you can imagine.

If you looked at sellbuddy before, there is a whole new look, with new interfaces that are easier yet, and I am working daily to streamline even more featurs.

It is fully open and unlimited for the forseeable futyre, sellers that start using it during beta, if it goes to a paid sub, which is indeterminate now, youll get a few months free regardless, if and when it ever goes past beta.

My goal at this point is users, not subscriptions.

Thank you for writing it. I will use it for all my items, I just have to find time to build them all lol.

The new ad builder is coming up this week, the pro ad, that shares data, and then a simple ad that you just input the data quickly, non reusable stuff, but really quick to build is next.

Followed by the garage sale ad: multiple items in one ad. Followed by the option ad. Where you can put a price on something, and then add options. With or without values, so a red shirt, with value 0. or add aluminum earpieces for $40usd.

Im also creating a simple way to do down payment ads, interest list per se. If you buy the slot, when you try to buy the final, you can only buy it if you are on the interest list.

I am also creating a simple survey ad, where you can ask a question, interest, yes no, multiple choice, and the results are rendered back as people answer. To be used for multiple things.

Lots of things coming. I am just picky about my code, so it takes time.

You are one code writin' fool SR. I'm sure the new stuff will work out fine.

I am going to start spending most of my time getting people set up with sellbuddy (for the next few weeks). I have some partnerships im working on with social/forum/destination sites. It is a slow road, but with the new social ad products, the new ad builder I created last week and the invoicing tool I am about to write, I feel like there are enough tools here to start getting users using it.

My first plan is to start with some prop giveaways to sellers and buyers as I build a user base. As an incentive for early adopters. I have brainstormed on how I can properly compensate people for helping me (and helping themselves as I wouldn't ask people to use the software if I didn't belive it to be really useful) and I think rewarding the people using it is the way to go.

If anyone wants to start using sellbuddy but you are un-sure of how to start, message me.

I highly recommend using sellbuddy. It's easy to set up and keeps track of sales, inventory, and shipping info. I will be using it exclusively from now on for all of my kits (other than special order ones).

Soon youll be able to use it for special orders too JC. As ill be working on an invoice system. Youll add line items, a price, shipping, info etc and then send the invoice number to the person. They will checkout and the process will be the same, allowing you to get feedback for your custom sales, with very little setup.

OK maybe I'm dense...or technology is starting to leave me behind but I don't get it. I see quite a few vendors saying they are on sellbuddy...but there seems to be no way to search anything on there. Is teh only way to see adds when someone posts them to another site? I'm very confused. I've found it quite frustrating that people say "check out my listing on sellbuddy" but there seems to be no way to find it....again unless I'm incredibly dense.

Hope someone can help. Thank you.

My Asok thread doesn't have the ad yet, I will be setting it up tomorrow. It will be in the very first post and there will be a picture of the kit with a description of it. You click on they true and it sends you to the sellbuddy site where you fill out your information for a Paypal payment. It's easy, don't worry.

oh no I understand that part just fine. I guess I just have a hard time wrapping my brain around it. If there's no way to search (without knowing the ad ID) then what we'd really end up needing is a sticky post somewhere with a list of the vendors that are on sellbuddy and links to their listings if that makes sense.

The idea behind SB is for it to be semi private I think...So if I dont want to advertise to the mouse that Im selling item X he cant see it. If I post the ad then you can see it if not you can not.
