Selina Kyle from start to finish.

This was a huge project for me ! By the time I acquired all my resources i had less then three days to fully complete the suit!
Here is where the madness started,

i have always been a HUGE comic book fan, I was just a little girl when batman returns came out , but in my opinion it was probably the last cool thing Tim Burton had graced us with, haha i was fascinated with his vision of Catwoman , i never really thought my face was built right for that mask in particular so , I experimented with some regular eyeshadow and junk makeup. Yep , laugh go ahead

The more i looked at the make up job , the more i wanted to make a suit
so i did!
first i got a mask.

interesting thing about this mask is , i had to hide my hair in it , my hair is past my tailbone. yep , that was a project on its own . After securing my hair to my head, I had sewn bra clasp like clamps to the slit down the back of the mask to seal it off completely once it was on
Now i needed my suit ,
this was a rough patch , my suit came EXTREMELY late

and then all the customization (video i had made for the hunters lair)
YouTube - makin a catwoman costume kinda sideways...

and done!

haha i made that prawn costume in between making my own, and the guy dressed as a prisoner , well he asked me to make him into a zombie prisoner so i was like ..absolutely ,we were on a train to the city so i put womans makeup on him and then i was like turn around i gotta put blood on you , and i dumped stage blood on his butt , im sure you guys can figure out what i made him into LOL

That's alright every good costrume has a bit of it's owners blood built in. My fett has about 8 stitches worth of mine. The catwoman looks great, and man 3 days? my Fett has taken about 4 years now and I'm still tweaking and replacing.

i would assume a fett costume would take A LOT more care and attention , the batman returns catwoman was meant to look ,roughed up stitched all over and there is really not much to it , well besides trying to survive while wearing it lol, i really look forward to making a female boba fett suit , im goin nuts trying to figure out what i am going to need , the dent in my wallet it will cause and if you lost some blood ill probably lose my leg in the process! lol... im really stoked about this though ... i have been doing my homework all over the internet trying to figure out how to build a helmet from scratch but i dont think its happening any time soon LOL ...as far as costume making goes im on the short yellow buss...ill keep my eyes open for sellers on here :>

I'd suggest buying a helmet and making the armor. When people look at each other, the focus tends to be the face, so you want that to be the best.

I got to see the original catwoman suit at the museum of modern art in NYC a while ago. It was pretty rough looking at this point. And TINY! I had no idea she was so small!

Yeah , my laytex suit is embarrassingly tiny! hahah it has to fit skin tight though! So you are even mildly putting stress on it , it almost looks like the material is fighting to stay on your body! I have to agree with you on the helmet i will definitely buy a helmet! Since i am not going for a traditional male boba fett suit either the costume design can be very flexible , i will probably sketch a few concepts :->

That came out real nice. I can't think of a Catwoman version that had long hair.....but I'm sure it would be very cool if done right....wink-wink!

Gotta say amazing work in such a short amount of time... You definetly seem to have an artistic side which is always good to do any kind of original piece if you decided to do the female Mando/Boba. Just make sure if you do it you put a thread up on here lol... BTW diggin' the pj pants, very cute if i may say so :P

Oops, That attack was over a year ago.
I need to brush up on my cyber-stalking skills.

I Just finished reading up (on the Lair) on the damage you've inflicted on yourself over the last ten years and I gotta say that you've held up quite well.
It was a strange read to say the least, but I can relate
My son is your age and loves to skate. His ankles are really bad off from rolling them, but he won't ever stop. He hasn't hurt himself as badly as you have though
My wife has a very similar scar on her side/back from surgery last year. She also has a keloidal scar (like yours from the knife wound) from one of the chest tubes that she also can't stand. Both of you guys need to realize that the scars don't detract from your beauty, they only make you more interesting.

Since you are relatively new here, I'll go ahead and throw out this disclaimer so you (and anyone else) don't feel as if I'm some kind of creepy perv.
My wife and I have been together since 1985, she is my world . I have no interest in any other woman and never will.
That being said, well done on your costume. You look absolutely stunning.

wow thats nuts i hope your wife is in better health , and i hope your son can keep from getting injured any further , once you start really messing up your legs ...aging really screws you up you legs will always give you problems , your back ... ugh .. its awful , thank you for reading up on my story! i had a lot written down on the lair from what i remember , and a lot of people on the lair had similar stories , a lotta strong people :-> ... it makes me happy to see a loyal person as well ! thank you for the complements on the suit , (and most of us on these forums come off as creeps , its because were so **** nerdy and really interested in the awesome dork stuff people make and wear around )

lovely thing to say S1P, she is a striking looking lady and Great Costume, yep fear of being a creepo, stoped me from sayin so in the introductions,i feel that theres not enough of kind sentiments these days, im Married too, to an beautiful woman that i will never leave, the mother of my chidren, we can actually think what the others thinking sometimes and often catch each other out doing so, and if that is your wife in your website pics and some of your costume forum pics she is a striking beautiful lady as well.

Exactly... I don't even see scars on people... I mean I see them, but its no different than seeing a freckle. The face is still the same to me. If Eva Mendes had a Freddy Kruger slash across her face, I'd still think that she's hot... Sounds funny, but its the truth.

Plus, a lot of what makes a person attractive is their demeanor, not their physical traits. A woman could be a supermodel, but if they have that snotty mean streak to them, THAT is what will change how I see them. Makes them ugly to me.

Just my 2 cents.

That's one sick suit. Nice work! And btw, has anyone ever told you you're the spitting image of Amy Lee from Evanescence?! Pretty cool!

Wow, this is the first time I've seen this thread. Excellent quality costume under such tight time restraints.

I think there may have been something very very wrong with that last can of Fancy Feast.

Very nice. I had the chance to see one of the screen worn suits in person at Tim Burton's Gallery at NY MOMA, and I have to say the quality of your outfit looks to be much higher than the one Michelle Pfeiffer wore (The stitches on hers were simply glued over the suit). But...

Yeah, all the stitching was pre-done on tiny boards, which were then glued on over the suit. Seeing that in person kinda felt like finding out that Gary Busey's teeth aren't real... It's crazy what a little lighting magic can do...or hide...

I think it's ok, cause then I get to see threads like this and see fans who have made suits better than the originals. And Error has my vote to play Catwoman if they continue the Batman movies. Anyone know how to reach their casting people?

Actually... I do! Well, technically it's casting for extras in the new film. I saw this a short while back, and thought about doin' it myself, but with work, summer classes and all... Still trying to get up to Pittsburgh this summer to try and catch them filming. Anyway, I'm done hijacking the thread now...
