Santa brought me a spray booth!

So Brian, if you ever need any masonry services I'd be glad to trade them for some painting services........either way the paint room came out sweet. My buddy has a paint room and he installed one of those sun lights, he says it makes a huge difference when it comes to painting compared to a luminesent light. Just an fyi

I found that using the highest lumens fluorescent tubes you can buy will give you the same effect. I use 6500K when I'm doing indoor pics (which reminds me I need to get more soon) and they come out pretty well.

My two cents.

David.

Thats pretty nice!!!! I gotta do one of those some day. If you don't mind my asking, how much $ would you figure you have put into it????
D

Brian that is AWESOME !!!

Great job man. Oh, and I couldn't help but notice ... is that a "Panasonic" drill sitting there ?

FP

it's a ryobi. a while ago home depot had this crazy sale on cordless tools... it was $100 off of any cordless tool purchase of over $250. so i grabbed one of their super packs.... drill, trim saw, reciprocating saw, jigsaw, vaccum, flashlight and sander. and got it for $150 for the lot.

i've since picked up a hammer drill and a bunch of batteries. so with the exception of the compound mitre saw, that room was built 100% with the cheapest tools in the land :)

total cost was around $600, and $180 of that was the pair of fans.

now, one of my pet peeves with all those DIY channel shows is that the hidden cost of building is the tools! it wasn't much $$ in the grand scheme of things to put it together, but i already had just about every tool in the world in the basement :)

oh and as far as the neighbors are concerned, they all know already. The day I was painting an 11 foot long hutt in the driveway was officially the day I became the neighborhood weirdo.

LOL !!!

So did I the day my new neighbors visited the house right across the street from mine while I was doing a photoshoot in my Fett costume in early april... with a couple of friends also dressed up as SW characters... and still, they've bought the house!

BTW, very nice setup right there... I have my workplace but I don't have enough place to make a spray-paint booth... I'm looking more into the vacuum-table with filters... we'll see how that goes.

Very nice. It sure beats the old newspapers that I lay down in the corner of my basement, that I change out every couple jobs:p
