Hey everyone. I'm driving up to San Francisco right now and am wondering if anyone knows of some fun stuff to do out there? Its mine and my wifes first year anniversary tomorrow so that's why we'll be out there. We have some stuff planned but we are going to be there for 3 days so we are looking for more stuff to do. This is my first time there.

Alcatraz is a must see. take the ferry to the island and do the audio tour. it's awesome!!
after that, you guys can just walk around "Fisherman's Wharf". there is a ton of stuff to do around that area.

The Mascone center in the city is where they hold the WonderCon convention in Feb but it's a huge center where they have cool stores and even a Titanic exhibit too.

hope this helps and happy anniversary bro.

There are all kinds of stuff. Fisherman's Warf is the most popular tourist site to go too. If you plan early you can get tickets to go to Angle Island or Alcatraz (they are kind of all day things).

You can go to the Golden Gate Park, there are several museums, art exhibits, gardens etc. in there that would be enjoyable.

Tank Hill is also a cool spot for a picnic, it's not a well known place, but the view is gorgeous.

Not to mention the 100's and 100's of movie film locations. If you don't mind scouting for them.

not to mention it will be cold, windy and foggy.

Def take a ride down Lombard. Just don't stray too far off the path after Sun down there are some shady areas like every major cities.

Yep ILM is not open to public. We lost most of Angel Island in a fire recently so not sure it is open. I have never been to Alcatraz, but my wife has taken many people there who have visited and they really enjoyed it.

Pier 39 is ok, but it is very touristy. Ride the cable car, go down Lombard Street. China Town is always kind of fun, and you can take the primary street to Broadway were all the strip clubs are. Not recommending a strip club, but that area is a great one to grab a coffee and people watch (you'll see some really weird folks).

Hit me with a PM if you want more. Also let me know if you have a car, some great spots are outside of the city.

so SF was great! We stayed at the Hyatt Regency (gotta love priceline for the cheap rooms). first night we walked around union square.
The next day we went to Pier 39, Alcatraz and china town. For dinner that night we went to the Cheesecake Factory on top of Macy's and ate on the balcony out there. Amazing view of union square.
Today we woke up early and went to the LDAC to see the Yoda fountain and to go in the lobby. The lobby was really nice and there were tons of little statues of star wars figures and awards won by Lucas and by his teams. Also in the lobby are two full size figures. One of Vader the other of ROTJ Fett. I'm guessing the Fett was Don post cause it honestly looked really bad up close. Pieces missing and nothing really accurate at all. Here is me with Fett

Also they had him in front of the rebel symbol too... But it was sweet going there and seeing all that. The vader looked like it had been worn. The gloves were very worn. Does anyone know where the Vader came from? It didn't have a plaque like Fett did.

After the Presidio we went to look at the Golden Gate bridge and then drove to one of the beaches by the GGB.

After that we went to the painted ladies (anyone who loved Full House knows what they are). Then the dumb long drive home.
Great anniversary and trip to SF. (sorry if this is long and too many pictures but the trip was too sweet to not post) thanks for all the suggestions everyone.
