Which ROTJ gauntlets to get?

Just thought I'd throw this out to the community who is much more knowledgeable than me at this point. I am in the process of building a SE Fett and have a sizeable order in with Daz (BM) including ROTJ gauntlets. I love his work but am hesitant about the velcro closure. I am looking for help from my TDH brothers. I will need pre-assembled/painted gauntlets. Looking for accuracy, functionality and durability. I am considering the following options:

1) MOW gauntlets. Love the hinge/closure system. Issue being paint.

2) WickedBeard. Like the idea of metal gauntlets and the hinge closure. Wondering about weight.

3) BM. Daz is probably one of the best around. Just curious about the velcro closure.

Any opinions welcome. If someone doesn't want to make their views public (although it would help other newbs) feel free to PM me.

I've had the MOW and the Wickedbeard gauntlets. BOTH are tremendous, and you would love either. I had my MOW gauntlets get a bit beat up from trooping, and needed to do some minor repairs. Boba Maker(Daz), well, his stuff is amazing as well. I now prefer the WICKEDBEARD gauntlets since they ARE metal, lightweight, and painted. You get em, and they're ready to wear. Jeff's work is TOP NOTCH, and a great guy to do business with to boot. Check this out:

Just my 2 cents, but you can't go wrong with any of those chioces.

Don't forget Fettpride's......that probably does not help

You can't go wrong with any of those makers gauntlets. As with most items It will come down to personal taste, materials, finish required/obtainable, and BUDGET

I have a set of FP ones on order right now. I have all FP hard parts so I want to finish the set, but I like the care Chris puts into making them look screen accurate and user friendly, plus Chris is a top notch chap :thumbup

I watched the build of BM's over the months and they are stunning and his quality is second to none, but in the end I wanted to complete the FP uniform.

I'd vote for my gauntlets! But I still haven't molded the second one, almost a year later... I should really get to that soon!

All guys mentioned have great gauntlets (I have FP ROTJ gauntlets, myself).

You seem worried about the velcro closure and not hinges. Well the real Boba gauntlets were closed by velcro, not hinges! Only the Jango gauntlets had a hinge closure.

Exactly!!! I've used velcro for years & its always held up on my gauntlets!!

Im a big fan of MOW Gauntlets. Just my two cents.

Not sure if I'm any closer to a decision. Guess I should get over the velcro hold-up. I suppose it's a good problem to have when there are so many quality artists to choose from. Thanks for all the input. Still mulling it over....
