Just an FYI for all you music lovers out there. The legendary inventor Les Paul died today, August 13th 2009 at the age of 94. It's amazing that one man could have such an impact on the way music is today but he did. Rest well...

R.I.P. Les Paul
1915 - 2009
DisposableHero, do you have an LP?
I will never forget a Les Paul Tribute video that came out around 1984. Les was playing with some contemporary artists at the time, and he and Eddie Van Halen were sitting on stools trading licks. During the session, Eddie sat there in awe, the look on his face was ""WOW".
When you realize how he played with limited effects and processing, you know the man was a true virtuoso. He would drop 3 and 4 note pull offs like he was playing a single note.
(Oh yeah, and he pioneered multi-track recording). We have certainly lost a true legend.
I only know him from the " les paul" guitar model... but that's enough to say hey... man... rest in peace!!!
Naw Nick all I have is an ESP. Just haven't even had the time to learn how to play the thing yet. But once I do learn I'm definitely going to get me an LP, they are very sweet guitars.
The first guitar i ever had was a Les Paul, an amazing gold top. With out him music would be very differnt today, muliti-track recording changed alot!
RIP Les.
