I've been noticing that Rimshot "dissapears" a lot recently. Then people get angry and start making bad posts about him. But he always resurfaces and gets his items out to the people that bought them.
My point is, give him some time.

From his last response it sounds like his internet access is limited. This could be a cop-out, it could be for real. Speaking from experience, I've had my computer crash in the middle of being "the middleman" on a pretty good sized run of an item, so it very well could be the case. Not saying let him off the hook by any means, but take it for what it's worth. When outsourcing one person to put together an entire costume 9 months really isn't an unreasonable amount of time, but lack of communication is unreasonable, but real life happens too...
I know I'm not being much help...again I'm not trying to defend anyone, maybe just expose the other side. I also completely understand where you are coming from. That's alot of money to just go "poof"
Yeah, That thread is from back in July, and I've heard from him since then, but nothing in the last two weeks. He promised me two weeks ago that he'd ship another consignment last week and let me know, but I've heard squat.

I know people have problems, and I have been more than understanding with this guy. I even went through a similar situation a few years ago so I can understand, but when this has been going on for so long, and I've given him so much money up front, what the hell am I supposed to do???
He just won't answer my messages.
I even warned him a while back that if I didn't hear from him, then i would make his name public!!
I have given him chance after chance.

Just a thought: You can have the board automatically email you when you get a PM here...might be a good idea Rimshot. I don't know what's going on in Real Life for you, I'm sure you have a good and valid reason for all of it, but responding in a prompt manner to people goes a long way, maybe getting those emails will help.

What matters is you took this dude's money 9 months ago & haven't delivered on your end of the deal.
Regardless of what has transpired in your life, you still have obligations to fulfill.
Why don't you enlighten all of us as to why you haven't contacted him nor delivered the goods to Nobby in a timely manner?

The reasons why things have taken this long are extremely personal, and I do not feel comfortable sharing them with the open forum.
I did confide my situation to Nobby, and he understands as he went through a similar situation a few years ago.

I activated email notifications, and the first notification I got was that you had sent me a PM, but that my inbox was full and it didnt come through.
It's sad that it takes something like a thread to get peoples attention, but sometimes they don't quite get the message from the member so it takes something like this. I had a similar situation with a member here last year and I outed him for the junk he did and he made restitution to me and made things right. I know that things happen. Disease, Deaths and divorce are all a part of life but what matters is how you react to them. It's the only choice you truly have in life. I hope this gets fixed and we can have a giant group hug and admire Stormrider's feet once again. FettDad make it RIGHT!!!

Seriously though HOW MUCH does it cost to ship poor marks stuff out !!
Until the item is ready to ship there should be no payment sent IMO. I always have my helmets I sell finished and boxed up and pictures taken of the final product for approval before I receive any kind of payment. If your floating money from pre-payment to buy materials and get it done that's a risky way of doing business in my opinion, buyer beware if you choose that route.

He hasn't been on the Mercs boards since Oct 19. We've had a couple people asking for him also.
Does anyone here live near him, or have alternative means of contact for him?
I've said it on the Mercs board and I've said it here... don't buy from this guy. If you want inexpensive nice vacformed stuff, go to BradleyFett. His stuff is nice and he ships quickly.
Buyer beware with this guy. He has more excuses than 12 year old. At least from what Ive seen at Mercs, he always does fulfill his obligation but it's not until an extended period of time has passed, paypal disputes have been opened or/and the buyer contacts me or another council member for help.
Personally, I've seen his stuff and it's nice for what it is but, there's pleanty better out there for a few dollars more. He's really not worth the heartache of dealing with.
I bought a set of gaunts from him back in september and he got them to me when he said he would. But while my experiance with him was postive it seems a lot of people get screwed. I hate to see something like that happen. I hope everything turns out well for you Nobby.
