Republic Commando T-shirt Interest Thread

Hey guys, the shirts are ready to order! Here are the final details:

- Turned out having "Go Commando" or even "Vode An" on the back was polarizing for a lot of the people I talked to. Some people really liked it, and some really didn't. To keep everyone interested, I'm going leave the back blank, which actually reduces the cost of the shirt by about $2. Given that they're already a bit pricey with the high number of colors on the front, I think this price break is a good thing.

- The design is going to be printed on American Apparel shirts, which are higher-quality than regular t-shirts. Please note that they run a bit smaller than standard shirts, like Hanes, etc. (So if you typically fall between two shirt sizes, you'll probably want to get the larger of the two.)

- I can do a run of ladies shirts as well! They're also American Apparel shirts, which tend to run a bit smaller than standard ladies' t-shirts.

- I can also do a run of men's shirts in DARK GRAY. However, because I can't use the shirt's color for the black lines in the design, I had to increase the color count by one, which increases the price a bit for these shirts.

NOTE: If you're ordering multiple shirts and having them shipped to one address, subtract $4 from each additional shirt. For example, say you order 3 shirts... one black XXL, a Gray L, and Ladies S. The grand total would be $27+($25-$4)+($24-$4)=$68.

These should be ready to ship within 2-3 weeks.

Well Rammage worked on Delta squad for the game...think that is why he stuck to them. Plus Omega squad would just be either in white or black Katarn armor right? Delta has more "character" in the coloring of the armor. IMO anyway. I do love Omega as well.

Well since it looks like I am not gonna get another shirt that I ordered here on the TDH.

Yeah, I think I'm going to stick with Delta Squad for now, but who knows? If this shirt takes off, I'll definitely do an Omega Squad version! It'll probably be easier to make, that's for sure. :D

So far I've sent this design to a bunch of friends who also worked on the game and they like it a lot. I've already got at least 6 people saying they'll definitely buy it (and probably more, once I find more people's contact info), and I'll post this on Clonetroopers.net to see what kind of interest I get from them. The more people who want it, the cheaper it'll be.

Also, I was thinking of putting something on the back, but I'm not sure what just yet. I'd like to keep a clean look to the shirt, as well as keep with the cartoonish theme. Perhaps some kind of logo or catchy phrase. Any ideas?

That looks sweet! Depending on when you'll be finalizing this and taking payment, I might be in for one XL.

As for what to put on the back, I'd say just the Republic cog symbol with the "Republic Commando" logo font on the back would be nice.

Yeah, so I posted this up on Clonetroopers.net and the guys there (including our own Jaster) had some great suggestions. Some were concerned about the box colors blending too much with the helmet colors, which I totally understand. I'm going to increase the white border between the helmet colors and box color to make the difference more noticeable.

Also, I'm going to add something to the back for sure. I've more or less narrowed it down to two options:
#1 - Republic cog logo with the words "VODE AN" in front of it. For those who might not know, "vode an" means "Brothers all" in Mandalorian and is one of the chants that Jango tought the Clonetroopers. It's also the name of the song that plays in the Main Menu of the Republic Commando game, and variations of that song play throughout gameplay.
#2 - A more humorous option. The same Republic cog logo, but with the words, "GO COMMANDO" in front of it. Yes, it's pun-tastic. ;)

Thoughts? Any preferences between the two backs? I'm currently working on the revised front as well as the graphics for the back. I'll post them up as soon as I'm done.

The Star Wars Shop exclusive RC shirt had "Who's Watching Your Back?" on the back of that shirt, just thought I'd mention. I like the idea of whatever is on the back saying "Delta Squad." Please keep us updated. I want one of these!

First of all i Love the shirt. I have a suggestion, How about the RC cog in the front like a badge, and on the back have the picture of the four characters with the Vode 'An .
I dont know, just a suggestion, and personally i like the pix on the back of the shirt. Anyways, good job on it, and i would be interested in one as well.

Sorry again for the delay, but I finally DID get to the post office today and all the shirts have been shipped! :D I've been highly distracted with looking for a job in the last few days (and probably landing one!) so it took longer than expected to send out the shirts. Still, we're all set and everyone should be getting theirs soon!

Domestic shipments were sent via USPS Priority, so if you live in the US, you should be getting yours by the middle of next week.

International shipments were sent via USPS First Class Int'l, so if you live outside of the US, it'll probably take a week or two.

Please let me know if there are any problems with the shirts once you get them. Hope you all like 'em! :D

Also, I noticed that the shirts do shrink a bit after washing them... I hear that allowing them to hang dry as opposed to throwing them in the dryer will help maintain their current size. Not sure how many times you need to do that until the size sets permanently though...
