Postage Rates Going Up ... Again

Bad news ... news broke today that postage rates are going up YET AGAIN! On May 1st, the cost of a stamp will increase 2 cents to 44 cents.

At least it doesnt affect package rates since they were upped in January.

our prices on postage went up some time ago here in the UK with the post office ,it just used to be a standard rate,now its based on size and weight grrrr....

We have been seeing postage rates go up about every 8-14 months for the last few years. The post office is also talking about going to 5 days a week instead of 6 to save money. If people really want to save the planet, especially the trees, and reduce what ends up in landfills etc and save a bunch of money in tax dollars and in the corperate world, do away with the USPS. 90% of what goes through the PO is BBM; bulk business mail-junk mail directed to businesses from businesses. A large % of that never reaches the people it's addressed to for any number of reasons and what does get to the addressee gets tossed without looking at it....

Do away with the post office, and bet your bottom dollar that you start paying for emails
