I saw this and immediately thought of TDH. I thought that it would be a neat idea but I know how everybody likes to actually see the event and not enough TDH people would be there.

california is way too far away for me or I would be there. I troop in the midwest mainly.
I am going down with some of the members of the Golden Gate Garrison, missed out on the last one due to illness.

While I'm not going to CIV I agree that TDH would be nuts to not take advantage of free table space. Think of the exposure!
I'm imagining two manequins one of Boba Fett and the other of Jango, both standing in the background with a big really cool "TDH" banner between them. A Zam would be awesome too.
I also think this would be cool. Plus those of us who would be helping to man the booth might get early entrance on those days. Maybe sign up for 2-3 hours shifts or something.
Props on display on the table/s. Prop making demonstrations. Raffle off a few props (I'd definitely donate a holster assembly). Have some sort of "Bounty" hunt if we'd like to get that organized and have enough participation.
I think it's a great idea! I'm willing to help if whomever has the final say thinks it's a worthy cause!:thumbsup
I will bring this up with the administration. However, I don't think any of the administration is going to be there the entire time. I also think it would be very difficult to get folks to man it the entire time and I know I would not want to be stuck there the whole time because folks didn't show or whatever. I know that the 501st has quite a few more people to lean on for help than we do. While I won't say it won't happen right now, I do think it is highly unlikely.
I think someone around the area should initiate this. Since it will be alot easier for them to set up etc..
Unless some from out of town arrives a day before the Con.

We definitely appreciate the interest and are definitely looking into this! Please do not start writing things or organizing this until the Dent decides what we are going to do. If the Dent wants this to happen, then the Dent will assign people to organize it. However, if folks are available to man the table, we would certainly appreciate your letting us know :) It appears that we have to have someone man the table during the entire time the hall is open which is as follows:
Thursday, May 24 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Friday, May 25 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Saturday, May 26 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Sunday, May 27 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Monday, May 28 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM
I will be attending the entire time. I could assist in the cooridination of this booth. I intend to be in the LA area Tuesday May 22 ,2007 through May 30, 2007. I could help coordianate with local TDH'ers during the set-up and tear down phases, plus work on a tenative booth schedule with folks who would like to volunteer through out the event. I have past experience putting together this type of thing for tradeshows and, not limited to designing and building parade floats, and coordinating parades in general, wherein proper volunteer coordination is critical for a succesful presentation.
I think it would be great to have a booth there to showcase the preiminent Fett site in the world!:fettpre
I agree that it would be a tragedy to allow such a great public relations opportunity to pass us by. However, if we can't do this well, we will not do it at all. Mirax will head this project and will appoint others to work with her. We will be looking for a LOT of volunteers to make the work load light. Please don't overwhelm her with PMs just yet as we have to be approved for a booth before taking any major steps. This is a very exciting opportunity for TDH, so I hope many of you will volunteer to help out!

I was looking at the Ripcode's photos of him and Jeremy Bulloch a moment ago and I instantly thought how cool it would be to get a photo of Mr. Bulloch and the TDH crew at C4. Or even all the Fetts" and BH's actors that may make an appearance at C4. I understand how hard it would be to set something like this up and how likely it truly is of course.
If all goes well I will be there. I might not be able to man the booths as this would be my first con and I want to wander. I may stop by to chat though.
