Paralada.org presents Dragon*Con 2008

just a feeling

I thought you might approve.

Many convention galleries are created by uploading raw images directly from the camera to an online photo hosting service. The process can be completed in a sitting, and the user can then elect to add captions and rotate images. Stunningly convenient.

I prefer to cull, colour-correct, SFX, crop, and watermark my images first. Then create banners and navigation graphics before placing it all into individual html pages. It is terribly archaic and slow. And yet I keep doing it that way.

When I go about captioning images, I learn a lot more about the costumers and the work done. Each image becomes the potential for a story.

Be well,
Thomas

Thanks for sharing the pictures Thomas - Nice to see some familiar faces and all those great costumes! Since I didn't get to go to DC 08 - I have to attend "virtually" ;) And yes, IMHO it's worth the effort to do all that work to make them look better too! Great job!

You have one of my favorite pics of me in my Spartan costume, I managed not to do anything odd with my head or hands I am just standing there looking awesome.
