Is there a safe paint stripper that I can use to clean off built up old paint on my helmet?
its not going to eat my helmet either will it?
i have a bobamaker, fiberglass
except the piece that i need to strip the paint of are the ear pieces..which i think are resin?
Should be fine I just used it on a DP and I use it on my FP lids to make sure all the release agent is removed.
My BM has the ears molded into the helmet, so they are fiberglass. I dont think ive seen a BM that had separate ear pieces.
yeah i was just looking at his website and was reading off the list of parts where it says helmet: fiberglass...ear pieces: resin but in any case...i'll try the acetone
thanks guys!
Ah...if its the top rangefinder ear cap, then yes, it IS resin. Its a pretty hard resin though so i think you'll be ok with the acetone. Just keep note if anything funky starts happening.
I'd just use sandpaper.
