So obviously we are all huge Star Wars fans. But I would like to hear what some of everyone else's favorite movies are. Favorite action, horror etc.

My all time favorite movie is Heat followed by Seven, True Romance, American History X... just to name a few.

Favorite Horror: Halloween, The Thing
Favorite Action: Die Hard (I guess that is also my favorite Christmas movie too :) )
Comedy. All John Hughes movies (I'm a child of the 80's). Another underrated movie IMO is Golden Child.

Just curious to see what fellow Fett addicts like.

Batman : Dark Knight, Iron man , Resident Evil , Step Brothers, Devils Rejects ,Human Centipede, anything completely evil and messed up and Mean Girls

Man, Heat is one of my favorites too. Dinero and Pacino both playing adversarial bada** characters. The whole cast was awesome!

I'm gonna keep it in your format...
Horror: the town that dreaded sundown. A little cheesy, ok, a lot, but it's based on a true story and it scared the crap out of us when we were kids.
Action: Raiders of The Lost Ark
Comedy: Friday
Drama: Forrest Gump
Western: Lonesome Dove (I know it's a mini-series and technically not a movie) tied with The Cowboys
Patriotic: 3 way tie with Lone Survivor, American Sniper, and Band of Brothers (another mini-series)

There are too many.

horror: not a massive fan but skeleton key was good enough to buy
action: the last Mohican c'mon (there are so many I could list)
comedy: this is the end. About the only film me and my wife laugh at together oh oh oh blazing saddles
drama: weirdly interview with a vampire, I'd say it's drama
western: pale rider. Nuff said
patriotic: braveheart it's also my guilty pleasure, as a scot I should sit and pick the massive holes in it but I just can't.

Of those not yet listed, some of my favorites include Apollo 13, Almost Famous, Road to Perdition, BTTF trilogy (particularly 1 & 3), Interstellar, Gone in 60 Seconds (yeah, yeah, guilty pleasure), Goonies, Looper, all of the Daniel Craig Bond films, and surely others I'm forgetting off the top of my head.

Edit - probably my favorite of all time, not sure how I forgot to list The Matrix!

Almost famous, not seen that, I'll try to find that on the magic box. Although the matrix, yes that's on my list of films the kids will have to watch.
