*Official* What do you use as your "FETT WORK SPACE"?

Since I live apart from the wife (until 28 July!) I'm like Seeker. My whole apartment is my workshop. I paint out on my balcony. I tape plastic up on the plaster sides. The floor of my balcony is wood, so a pass or 2 with a sander and it'll look good as new. Fett Girl has already said the garage is mine once I get to San Antonio. What a loving and understanding wife I have. :D

Hey Seeker,

Your cat's thinking....There goes the damage deposit!

What's really cool about my place is that after I move, this place will be entirely renovated. So I could do what ever I want with it for now. :D

I use my garage for painting, dremeling, sanding, etc.
and my room for everything else.
Both are quite messy ;)

On the floor and on the balcony...pretty much leaving a wave of destruction wherever I work...

Most of my spray-painting and Dremel work is done in the garage. But I always end up tracking spots (paint, grease, putty, etc) back onto the carpet, because I forgot something in the house.

For brush paint work, I do it at my computer (where I can see the Reference CD). There are all kinds of spots there. :)

I try to 'schedule' my sewing for various projects, and knock them all out in one weekend. I don't have a dedicated area for this, so I have to use the dining room table. When I'm done, I have to pack everything back up in storage.

Boy, this is an interesting question1 Lessee... Mostly I try to confine my work to the garage/shop. However, that almost never happens. Here is my short list: Back yard (only in the winter), kitchen counter (wife's gonna kill me one of these days), family room floor(my stains can be blamed on the kids!), laundry room, in the car(don't ask), Unviersal Studios Florida costuming department (they have the best sewing machines!).

I do all priming/base painting in the garage, and then I do detailing and touch-ups in my room at my desk. We don't have a sewing machine (well...we do, but its from 1964), so I pack up my stuff and drive to my buddy's house (who has a great machine). I try to store everything in those huge tupperware containers, but right now, my helmet, gauntlets, and jet pack are scattered about my room. I'm busy with college now, so I haven't been able to mess with them much, but as soon as Fall break gets here, I plan on getting some stuff done.

I do my work in the laundry room on top of a drop cloth and compaq box.
