JB Project/ Portrait
Just wanted to say thanks to Danielle(Gonzo Fett) and Danny (her significant other and new member Obi-Dan)...because they wanted to contribute to the Project in some way, they were gracious enough to offer their services and donate a dignified portrait of Jeremy Bulloch in his suit...helmet off.
We did have several offers to have something painted for the event, thank you to everyone who offered, but Gonzo Fett and Danny (Obi-Dan) were the first to come foward.
Last night we Ironed out the final details, and they will be there to help present it to him at the TDH & Rebelscum dinner, which I'm more excited about meeting the both of them.
Please help me thank them....as they will be posting progress pics throughout.

Thanks guys! I can't tell you how excited I am about the project. JB is one of the nicest guys I've ever met, and I'm very happy to be working on his portrait. Danie and I are on our way right now to pick up a portrait canvas. It'll be a 22 x 28" gallery style, with the wrap-around canvas. Hopefully I'll be able to post a rough sketch tonight sometime.

Hey, thanks again, everybody. I'll try not to disappoint.
This first bit of work is taking a tad longer than I planned, due to some running around we had to do today. But I'll be getting down to actual work in a few moments. Hope to have a sketch by tomorrow evening sometime.
The art supply store was out of 22 x 28's, so I picked up a 24 x 30, just slightly larger. But I think that will work better for the type of composition I'm thinking of. It's a more well-made canvas, anyway. Nothing but the best for Boba Fett!

OK, I've got a very basic sketch done so far. It's just to lay down the basic pose and proportions, not much detail at all. I'll sketch in the face next, then start to block in the background. Probably I'll have him standing on the Bespin landing platform, orange sunset and skyline, and maybe have Slave 1 sitting behind him on the platform. I'll have to see how the composition works.

Sorry Nate, I was actually referring to the ship.
Now that I've got the composition sketched out I can start the underpainting stage, blocking in the basic colors. Then comes the fine detail work. The likeness isn't quite there yet, but this is pretty much how all of my portraits start out looking. More updates on the way!

I can't believe what is being done for JB. I agree he is the nicest actor I've ever met, and certainly should be very appreciative of all that is being done for him. Can't wait to see the finished product.
