Well, I've been sneaking around these forums for a while now. I have a very very scratch made Fett outfit that was constructed in only a week for a convention last year that Mr. Bulloch in Metropolis, IL. I got to have dinner with the gentleman and basically had one of the best times of my life. Him and his wife are lovely persons.

I don't have the money to have the costume I want but I was able to do what I did with the help of a couple of friends because of passion, and that's exactly what I see here in this forum. And it's a passion that Mr. Bulloch stirred almost 28 years ago, that amazingly continues to this day and seems stronger than ever.

I actually just joined this forum tonight because I had been meaning to for a long time, but then ran across this thread.

If there is anyone deserving of this type of team effort is Mr. Bulloch. He may not have done the voice and he may have only been in a few shots, but he has been the inspiration for everyone in this site (which wouldn't exist without him) and not to mention he is one of the nicest and most generous men around.

I made the mistake of getting only one autograph on a figure and a blurry picture made of the man, and not getting anything signed personally to me. But I got to share the stage with the man in my thrown together Fett outfit and that was everything I needed.

I know he will enjoy this and I would love to attend the dinner but I have only joined this forum and there are others that I'm sure deserver the spot more than I. It's going to be very awesome, though! Hopefully one day I can join the ranks of many of you who have wonderful costumes.

So, all I can say is great work, everyone! You're doing the man justice with this, what I consider, wonderful honor! And I'm sure he'll feel the same.

Can't wait to see the finished product and pictures of the event on this site!

Jeremy has looked at this thread, and all the progress threads too...and I'm sure he appreciates all the wonderful things people are saying about him and his wife.

He's done allot for the Fett community in helping promote the Character, and is so wonderful to all the fans...it's only fitting that we repay him in someway.

So if you can make it, (this goes for anyone) please let me know....we want as many TDH members as possible, this is our moment to shine....EVERYONE.:thumbsup

I wanted to take a sec to give thanks to all parites involded in this project. I havent had much time to post in the last month but I have been following all the hard work by each of you and this project really shows what an inspired group of talented people can achive when they put there minds to it. A special thanks to SpideyFett for driving the wagon on this and keeping us all informed and organized. That is a key part to this project and we cant do it with out you.

To the propmakers and artists devoting there sweat and blood, this is so great to see the best of the best come together like this to make what in my eyes will be the best Fett Costume ever constructed and I know Jeremy will wear it proudly.

Yes, that is Jango Fett Jr. on the banner. Daniel Logan has also worn that costume pictured at Dragon Con a few years ago for a few hours.

That's what we are planing for mid March...a photo shoot.:thumbsup..not sure who's getting in it yet.
The other part of it is, we really want this to be a surprise for Jeremy...so we will not be posting pics of the suit put together Prior to the event.:doh...I know that sucks, but we want this to be a true unveiling for him.:thumbsup

Hey, thanks again, everybody. I'll try not to disappoint.

This first bit of work is taking a tad longer than I planned, due to some running around we had to do today. But I'll be getting down to actual work in a few moments. Hope to have a sketch by tomorrow evening sometime.

The art supply store was out of 22 x 28's, so I picked up a 24 x 30, just slightly larger. But I think that will work better for the type of composition I'm thinking of. It's a more well-made canvas, anyway. Nothing but the best for Boba Fett! :)

OK, I've got a very basic sketch done so far. It's just to lay down the basic pose and proportions, not much detail at all. I'll sketch in the face next, then start to block in the background. Probably I'll have him standing on the Bespin landing platform, orange sunset and skyline, and maybe have Slave 1 sitting behind him on the platform. I'll have to see how the composition works.

Now that I've got the composition sketched out I can start the underpainting stage, blocking in the basic colors. Then comes the fine detail work. The likeness isn't quite there yet, but this is pretty much how all of my portraits start out looking. More updates on the way!
