Fetthunter I can also get an accurate girth but I am not that good at coloring it. I will do this if someone will volunteer to dye it from white to the right color.

Has a definative decision been made if we are going with an ESB suit? If so, I won't be able to do the cape. If we opt for a RotJ suit, then I can donate a real one.

I don't think a decision has been made, though it was leaning towards ESB. I think he'd be thrilled with either version, to be honest. If we go ESB there are parts of the suit I'm not as much of an expert on as with the ROTJ suit, so I'll be asking alot of dumb questions.

Re: Help us build Jeremy Bulloch his own Fett suit!

I've added a few lists up at the top of this thread. I tried to list needed parts AND those who have pledged certain parts. I also list those wishing to donate money.

Please let me know what parts need to be added (I know I've forgotten something in my rush), and if you want to be added to one of the lists.

    THANKS!

For those of us that have pledged monetary donations. When are those donations going to be collected and who will collect them? I am all for sending off the money right away if it will help.

I'll set the tools aside, but there may be some question as to the accuracy of the FG shoulders. They have "3 sides", as opposed to the "rolled" style. If that's not good enough, I can roll a sheetmetal set.

Fortunately, time is on our side. We don't want to rush this project. We want to do it RIGHT. We haven't set up a person to collect the money yet, nor a person to collect and/or assemble the pieces. This will be one of the next steps. Once we know *that*, we can direct people on where to send parts or money to. Might be a good idea for us to have a dedicated PayPal account or something set up for this project...

That would rock. We've got +/- 18 months to C3, which we'd kicked around as the "unveiling" date. Think that'd give you enough time?

I dont know if you guys already have someone to paint the armor, jet pack, blaster, and helmet, but I can offer my services for that. I have all of the proper paint codes for the parts and I have painted professionally for ten years. I wouldn't mind offering my services to paint for the project. Has anyone offered Shackman Chest Lights?

We've had no volunteers for that. I'd use mine, but I do alot of eBaying and it would be really hard to keep track of the money coming in/going out.

If someone could offer a "dedicated account", that would be great.

We NEED Fettlights!!! Do you have a spare set?

I'll add you to the list for "painting services". We may need several painters so we can distribute the load.

Hey, right now we've had NO offer for gauntlets, so your offer is the best! I'll add you to the list, and if we do a ROTJ suit, I'll be in touch (or let us know when you get hte ESB version done).

FYI, I have already donated a pair of gloves to be passed on to Jeremy via Richie's Armor around Easter I believe, so Jeremy should have them. I'll email Jeremy later today to verify if he does indeed have them.

You guys might want to check with Richie's Armor. I really understood that a suit was underway for Jeremy. It could be that even if the suit is not finished (or the energy fizzled out), Richie might be willing to pass along the parts that ARE finished.

Re: Help us build Jeremy Bulloch his own Fett suit!

RA made the suit that Jeremy wore at the IQM (Imperial Quartermasters) event this past summer. Clearance was granted from LFL, and pictures were taken of Jeremy wearing the suit to be auctioned off to the public on-hand at the event. Jeremy had to take off the suit and give it back as soon as the pictures were finished being taken. He didn't get to keep the suit, and it was later sold (I believe it was even posted for sale here for awhile), if my memory serves correctly.

This project's goal is to give Jeremy a suit that he can keep for his own, for whatever he wants to use it for. I ate dinner with Jeremy a few weeks ago, and he does not currently own his own suit (I asked him).

I'll contact RA and see if he will offer his insights here.

I understand the goal of this project. However, here is a quote from RA in an email to me on 3-3-03: "Im e-mailing to see if possiblly you could donate some gloves? These will not be auctions(none of the suit is) but will be property of Jeremy. I will be donating all BUT boots and gloves. ( Not at the evnt but of a period of time following the event)"

If you read this, it says none of the suit was to be auctioned ("will be property of Jeremy"), so I was surprised when that was exactly what happened with the suit. When I asked specifically about the gloves (either here or on the RPF), Richie stated gloves (and I believe boots) were not going with the suit and that a second suit was being worked on for Jeremy.

If that is not the case, or if the second suit is in limbo or something, I probably need to get with Richie to get the gloves back.

I'll wait on the response from Jeremy before emailing RA.

We don't want Jeremy to know anything about our efforts here to build him a suit, so please don't mention that in your email. It's a surprise.

I emailed RA earlier today to see if he can reply here and clear this up.

Jeremy DOES have a set of Cheng boots (see donation list at top of this thread) in size 10 I belive he told me, but that's all. As far as I know, the rest of the suit was sold.

We have had a member offer to buy him a set of Slave1 gloves, so if it's a money thing, I'm sure we can work with you on that.

I totally understand that. *My* point is, if the gloves were sold off with the rest of the suit, then we'll still need a pair for the suit that we're planning to assemble. I don't know what happened with the RA suit, or the gloves you donated. This project is totally independent of any past endeavors by RA or anyone else to assemble a suit for Jeremy, and we might need a "2nd set" of gloves if the "1st set" can't be located. If that's the case, we wouldn't expect you to donate another pair of gloves, and we would more than likely be willing to buy them from you.

Jeremy mentioned to me that the only costume parts he has are Cheng boots and a "flightsuit". It sounded like the "flightsuit" was just something thrown together for him, and not of the quality that we'd want him to have considering the great quality of the rest of the parts.

Jeremy got back to me and says that he got to keep the gloves from the North Carolina show, so you can scratch gloves off the list.

He went on to also say, "Your gloves are so comfortable and very like the original pair."

Sounds like a good endorsement, eh?

    Cool. I'll scratch them off.

Jeremy's a funny guy. At dinner he exclaimed that I should be made the next POPE! Why? I have NO idea. Maybe because I have practice wearing a helmet/something on my head all the time at events? Hard to say...

Re: Help us build Jeremy Bulloch his own Fett suit!

How will all these pieces be gathered together? I mean, will all of the donators have to send their parts/donations to one TDH member and then he/she sends the whole suit out to JB (or just hand it to him personally)?

I'm just curious, and I'm also wondering what the timeframe for this is. If I made Mr. Bulloch a set of my RF Lights...how long do I have to work on them?

    Cheers,
    Bobo

No decision has been made yet on the logistics of the project. Our first concern was if we actually had enough interest in board members to go ahead with the project. At this point, it seems that 95% of the parts we need for the suit have been spoken for by the generous members here, and the remaining parts will either be donated as we go along, or bought using the monetary donations of other board members.

We will probably have to "elect" a "project coordinator" to manage all of the specifics, and then we will have to decide how we want to go about assembling/painting/etc. the various pieces of the suit. It would reduce time and effort if we had more people helping, but then you run into the problem of having *too* many artisans working on the parts and issues like paint colors not matching (if, for example, 1 person does the chest armor and 1 person does the codpiece) start cropping up. I know Boba's suit is a "hodgepodge" of colors and pieces, but still we want it to be somewhat uniform, ya know?

Timeframe? It's been suggested we shoot for CIII (May 2005), so that gives you (and everyone else) ~18 months.

The only celeb I ever met that was as cool to the fans as J. B., was Robert O' Reiley(Gowron of ST-TNG). J. B. is one of the kindest people, and an example of what some of the other celebs should be like to the fans.

    COUNT ME IN !!
I'll be happy to donate the remaining armor peices(collar, backplate, knees, and cod-piece). Sorry, I've never made the lower backplate, and don't have the right gauntlets(I make Jango stuff), or I'd donate those too. Someone else will have to do the painting though. I'm just not experienced with painting Boba parts.

I also have an extra set of Cod & Butt armor. They are Metal.
    LMK it you want them.

FYI, we had a VERY generous offer tonight of ESB gauntlets (if we go with an ESB suit) in addition to ROTJ gauntlets (if we go with that suit) by Ruffkintoy!

I'll add that to the list up at the top...

Seems we have most everything spoken for, and the parts that we don't have, we can probably buy via donations...

We're still working on a "project coordinator" who will serve as a central "collection point", then we'll need to address the issue of who gets to paint and/or assemble all of this stuff?

We're also going to need a PayPal account set up to handle monetary donations. Preferably, a "senior" member of the board will help us out here. I only say "senior" in hopes that other members will feel more comfortable transferring money to a member of TDH that is well-known and trusted (not to say anything against any of the newer members).

Heh... beats me! There's no such thing, really. It's just an expression I came up with.

I'd say a member that everyone knows (and preferably TRUSTS). I don't know what criteria to use, though. I just figured members would rather let a known member handle funds than a newbie with 2 posts (not to slam newbies with 2 posts ).

I would be more than happy to donate the holster for Boba's side arm . I would need the pistol itself here to make it properly . After having dinner with Jeremy last night and hearing of this project only yesterday , I am eager to help out with my leather crafting skills .

Well, I see that "jumpsuit" is still in red. I'll be the first to say I'm probably not the best Fett-knowledgeable here, but I did make my own jumpsuit and have been sewing my own historical stuff for years. I think I can get most of the details of the piece down, and with all the rest of the stuff covering it, it should work well enough.

Correct fabric texture and color would, of course, be a major concern. Also, getting it close to his size without him telling us those dimensions.

Lemme know if this is ok, or if you have another alternative.

We know that RA has his measurements, since he made the IQM suit that he wore at that event. I emailed RA about this, and even invited him to chime in over here, but alas, nothing as of yet...

Spoke to Jeremy and Maureen over the weekend and got to speak to Maureen on her own for a bit. JB has: Boots, gloves, several helmets, and a jumpsuit. His current measurements are 42" chest, 36" waist and about 5' 11" tall.

I got a contact e-mail address for Maureen too, but for privacy's sake I've been asked not to share. I think it's their son's, but it's somewhere I can contact Maureen secretly, should we need to know any more info.

Jamey, I passed on your hello to them and they said Hi.

I'll be starting on my pledged soft parts in the new year unless anyone comes up with something better in the meantime.

RA has mentioned he'd post the sizes in another thread here. Watch that space, I guess.

This is a pic I took with Jeremy in October. I thought he could have probably worn my suit!

    OK, Ivan.

I think we've got about 99% of the parts covered, but there's always going to be "little things" that we've forgotten about. That's where everyone donating money come in! If you want, I'll add you to the list (at the top of the page).

Now that we're within the 13-14 month window of CIII, we should probably start the ball rolling on this again. I've purposely been letting this topic "chill" abit over the winter (pun not intended), as there didn't seem to be any need to rush. I think it's about time to start putting things together...

Now we need to find a person that is a pro at assembling a ROTJ suit... We'll need to use this person as our "hub" that we can send pieces to, then this person will add the pieces together to make a suit. I'm not sure what we should do about "unfinished parts", though... Let individual people finish them and have varying degrees of paint colors and quality, or find one reputable artist who is up to the job...

Talk it over, guys! This has to have our "stamp of approval" on it! Who else is going to give Jeremy a better Fett suit than *US*???

I talked to Jeremy this past weekend on the phone and confermed that the ESB suit was his favorite because of the gloves. I know he has the Full sized Don Post ROTJ statue, so It would be cool if we made him the ESB suit. I'm sure he would also like the ROTJ just as well. Just some ideas i'm throwing out to you folks.

I've seen pics of him posing with the DP mannequin in his house before, but I didn't know that about the gloves... What's the difference between the ESB and ROTJ gloves? He HAS a set of Slave1 gloves (we finally figured that out last year), but to my knowledge, Slave1 doesn't make "ESB gloves" and "ROTJ gloves"... They're all the same.

Anyway, if he wants ESB, we can do that.

NOW we're going to have to find someone with good management skills (not me) and who knows more about ESB than ROTJ (not me AGAIN) to be our "hub". Any of you "veterans" want to volunteer for the duty?

Now that I think about it the gloves do look the same. I was thinking the ESB were more Olive and the Jedi were more tan. Regardless he did say he liked the gloves and suit for ESB. I need to find out more about those gloves. I'll post in the Boba section and see what people say.

Yeah...It looks like the the Eyes helmet pre-prodution suit had the new dark grey and white gloves, then they were a little washed and worn for Empire and then Worn, washed and sun bleached for Jedi. Same gloves...
