hey everyone, i have been watching the news and weather all weekend and noticed that NC got slammed with bad weather, not to mention others in MO, AR, and other places....being in Oklahoma, i understand about bad weather....anyways, i was just wondering if anyone that is on now is from NCk or any of those other states, and if they could give us an update on how everyone is doing there? one of my buddies here is from NC, and havent heard from him today, so i am checking to see how everyone is, and also sending out well wishes for our NC group of TDH'ers....

Thanks for your concern. A tornado touched down and took out a trailer park about a hour from here a few days ago. All we've got here in my part of the state is a lot of wind. Average wind speed right now is about 25 mph, but it was around 35 mph yesterday. I hope everyone else is alright.

Very windy here in Western NC. Had a Tornado pass over the house the other day on it's way to Greensboro. Drove by the damage going to fix of my store's computers and it's been awhile since I've seen snapped trees like that.

When I was in the Navy, my class was stuck outside during a tornado that brushed Lackland AFB. That was an intense situation, so I don't play around when I hear the siren up town go off because of weather.

Thanks for thinking about us tar heels! =D

Novall, you're only about 30 min from where I live. There was a tornado that close?

My son lives in Raleigh and told me he slept through whatever passed over them. He told me there were warnings, but nothing drastic happened anywhere close to him. I send out best wishes for all of those affected by these tornados!

I'm here for a while on the Virginia peninsula and we've had some pretty bad rain the past couple of days. I know most of the tornadoes were south of here. I think there was one in Suffolk a couple of days ago.
After being in Arizona for just under 4 years, this much rain is messing with my mind.

Yeah ditto the thanks for asking bout us. Everything here is fine on the coast; there were some small tornados nearby. but nothing I saw. Our plant & the county didn't declare a tornado watch til after the storm had passed!
