    Non-fett: Did Vader ever have a side arm??

    Hey everyone.

    I was just catching up the pages on my star wars, McQuarrie, concept sketch, day calendar and came across something interesting. In (2) seperate sketches, I noticed that Vader was carrying a sidearm(on his right) that looks VERY similar to Fett's ESB sidearm. Has anyone ever seen or noticed, maybe in pre-production photos, that Vader actually DID carry a side arm?? If so, could you post any real pics?? Thanks.

    Hey Scott, the Mcquarrie concept drawings and figure have a side arm. With the figure it does not look like a Fett side arm.....but that may be Hasbro.

    I am glad they left it out, it looks wrong, and takes something away from the power of the force.

    Yeah, I have the Kotobukiya figures, and he does have a sidearm. I think it looks pretty cool, but sooo uncivilized !

    No sidearm in the films or any prepro pics that I have seen.

    Just the McQ sketches. It was never put in film or any EU canon sources. Hence, it's not canon. Vader never had a sidearm.
