No Blaster Allowed!!! What do I do?

It's a long story but no, currently waiting on some parts for my Wolf Predator. I'm currently new to the site, but have a few other costumes I could use. I'm gonna sit this one out and focus on my Boba suit over the summer.

Wish you the best with your build and maybe we'll bump into each other next year.

Had a wepons check at London Film and Comic Con last wek, the lovely lady just jammerd her finger down the hole and said ''Plastic in you go'' :behave ........thanks lady

They can't ban "finger guns". My first con had no blasters allowed either and between that and the flamethrower pose, I got a lot of mileage on those two.

I've done a handful of events after that and a "no-blasters" event is something I'm not looking forward to doing again though, lol

Yup you got all kids of weapons on the suit. Like the arm rocket, darts, oh and knee darts. Pose with the knee darts!

While I get the idea of safety for some, changing how you do things just lets terrorists, or that mentality, win. Every time something bad happens, every event ( not just costuming) thinks they are the ones that will be targeted next. Sad because it just teaches children fear. I can legally stand outside any PA convention with a real pistol openly displayed or concealed on my body. A weapons check should be good enough. I don't recall going thru any metal detectors or being patted down in regular clothes so a non costumed person can easily get a real weapon in. Wish it wasn't like that- we used to ride bikes with extremely realistic Uzi and Mac 10 cap guns and water guns and never had an issue. Now if I let my kid do that I think social services would be called

I think it has to do a lot with the convention itself to. I've noticed that the larger conventions and the ones that are owned by a company that hosts them typically put up the restrictions. I went to a local convention over the past weekend and they had no weapon check table and no weapons were "peace bonded." I specifically checked the rules about prop weapons due to a costume I was considering wearing and it basically said no real weapons and fake weapons must have an orange tip on the barrel. The con wasn't a huge con affiliated with like wizard world or anything. Honestly if I had gone to the convention in just plain clothes and decided to use my CCDW license no one would have even known. I did also see a fantastic Jango who was a member on here as well.

I walked into the first NYCC I went to in my resident evil costume with no gun cause I was scared to get in trouble for having an airsoft in NY. I did have a backpack and walked right thru bag check and weapons check cause no one was there. I was actually pissed and went and bought an airsoft gun cash from one of the sword /gun vendors and just told him I didn't want the box ( and by told I mean gave him extra money). I usually pull my weapons tie wraps or stickers off anyway. Last one in Maryland they were cool enough to wrap the label tight so my hand covered it.

I completely agree with you man. I think it's just silly that people are causing so much fear over inanimate objects. I do want to say though that I am biased on my opinion on the matter since my primary hobby is collecting firearms. I personally would love to be able to walk into a convention in an Army of Two costume and be carrying real firearms. That being said I would remove the bolts, bolt faces, or firing pins from them to make them unusable. I just think it would add to the aesthetic of the costume more and would rather do that then buy some nonfunctioning replica just to cosplay.
