Newbie here... hello

New Hunter
Hello all. My name is Drew and I have followed Star Wars costuming for a while and have known of this site for quite some time. I hadn't signed up before because I was so spread out across other sites, that I didn't want to have too many to remember. Now that I have trimmed my site visiting, found an old friend who is an Admin here, I figured it was time to come in and say hello to the board. I am known as Kit_Fisto_13 on Rebelscum.com (and darthdrew13 on a couple of others), CT Wannabe on Clonetroopers.net, and TK Wannabe on an old 501st forum that I can no longer find. The wannabe bit comes from the fact I have never had a screen accurate movie costume. I don't even have any parts to speak of. This is not for the lack of desire, just a lack of funds and time with a wife who dislikes my Star Wars hobby, 2 kids, a full-time job that is 35 miles away from home, a budding voice acting career, and a toy company I am still growing (VERY slowly).

My good buddy, Paul, who is on here somewhere, just finished his 2nd costume (Boba) and he said I needed to come over here once the Fett bug hits me (he knows it will). We live about 15 miles from each other and only first met at C:III where he started his costuming obsession.

So, here is a quick list of a few costumes I'd love to do some day.

1st - 327th Star Corps Trooper
2nd - Republic Commando - Omega Squad: Darman (white)
Others: Jango Fett, Vader, and Captain Rex.

The standard FX Stormtrooper can fit in there somewhere because it is probably the easiest of those listed and it would fit in with the 501 other kits out there like it. I would want a better movie accurate bucket to swap with too (which could come later). And Lastly, the cheap option is to do a Clone training outfit (maroon ones).

Thanks for allowing me to hang out and find out more about the Fetts!

Hey Drew,
Nice to see another Newbie. I'm a newbie myself. You've come to the right place for help. There is so much info here and tons of people here to help you out. You can make your own or purchase some parts you need from other members. I got a clone trooper kit from the Cargo Hold at a really great price :)
I don't know if you've been told yet, but stay away from Star Fortress Productions!!!! (n) They are bad news!!!! Also don't buy Rubies costumes (n)
Well, good luck with your costumes.

Hi, Drew! Welcome to TDH. I can relate to the wannabe element. I made a very crude Zam Wesell costume for myself for my son's 7th birthday party (Star Wars, of course). I had the guts to wear it to CV! LOL! I don't take myself too seriously, as you can tell. Everyone was very gracious with me. I am now inspired to make my Zam awesome. I really want to wear my finished Zam to C VI, in four years. I'd better have it finished it by then. Gotta start somewhere, right? I feel your pain. This is a great place to be. The people are so helpful and will help you along your journey.

Hi. I'm also a newbie and am wondering how to make a Zam Wesell costume. Can someone give me guidance, please? Thanks for your help!
