New to TDH? Read this about how much you will spend!

I think your price list is very useful. I'm new to the dented helmet and it's good to have an idea. This site is an invaluable resource. I have to say, after many hours of reading and hunting around I have found many great sources for everything I need. I can't wait for my parts to arrive and for the build to start! I'm so happy this site exists. There's a lot of really talented and generous people on this site and I'm happy to have joined the community.
FYI - I have spent about $2000 including shipping from various locations.

Great starter thread, although upon joining this website I kind of figured it would be a very costly hobby, but none the less I am willing to do this, right now I certainly will buy part by part because of me being a student in College I don't have a whole lot of cash to throw around but I am done school in under a year and will have my career so its better to start somewhere then never at all =]

Thanks!

Thank you for the price lists. It is definitely costly; however, my childhood dream has been to own a quality outfit of Boba, Jango, or both. And I will stop at nothing to bring that dream to life. I will begin with Jango.

The price list really gives a good impression of the money I'm about to outlay. If the cost of the list doesn't scare people away, at least it gives all the components you'll need. I came into this with about 1500 to throw at it mainly for the armour ( I already had a bucket), all the soft parts I was gonna DIY. I'd like to thank all tutorial contributors in advance for your help.

Hi, all I am new to this but wanted to start this project long ago. I would love to join the 501st with my bro but, where should I start?

New member. Bring it on TDH, you can't scare me off with this, haha. I'll just eat ramen for... years. hahaha

And I'll try. I've got a bad mouth. Or a good mouth, depending on how you look at it.

Its understandable I have the worse mouth in this community I just monitor myself before I post.

Glad I'm not the only one. :) I'm just so happy sometimes, ever since I found these forums.... man. I didn't even know, haha. A community for a mutual love of our favorite Bounty Hunter.... aaaah <3

Hey guys and girls don't be put off by prices , i'm new to this and have found who's on here to be helpfull . Try have a go making items to keep your costs down and just be patient , this is a great hobbie and you may find skills you thought you never had . At the end of the day as long as you feel great in what you've built thats the main thing isn't it ?

Excellent thread and some really good info in it, i've just put in my order for a lot of Fett gear, it's not about the cost for me but years of wanting to wear that awesome armour, so a bit of hardwork and the will has paid off, can't wait to be one of the few who owns a truly amazing costume

I'm new to the Boba costuming scene so I didn't realize how much stuff went into Boba's costume. I made a spreadsheet to help me keep track of everything that I need and the costs associated with the parts to help me keep on track. Here's what the spreadsheet looks like:

I put in conditional formatting so I can easily see what is complete and what I still need. This might seem a little too structured for some people but I find it useful so I figured I'd share with the rest of you. If you want the file just PM me and I'll send it to you. If I get enough interest I'll host it and people can download it at will.

Just wanted to say all the reference material on here is so valuable, thanks for all the information. I am new to building costumes. I am currently working on a Snowtrooper and quietly picking up ESB Fett stuff (getting ready for ESB in 3D). The idea of keeping a list of list for this project is a great one. I just started a file on both projects.
