This year at E3, Lucasfilm will be bringing gamers back to a galaxy far, far away. They plan to show off a brand new Star Wars game franchise during this year's E3. The first details of this project will be revealed shortly before the convention.

GameTrailers TV will give the world the first look at the game durign their pre-E3 episode on May 31st. Presumably we'll see a short teaser trailer. Then, on June 4th, GTTV will show off the first gameplay footage during their "E3 All Access Live" special at 10 PM EST.

"I am blown away by both the caliber of the team on this project and their bold vision for this new Star Wars title,” said Geoff Keighley, host of GTTV. "I can’t wait to introduce our viewers to this game and show off the footage that left my jaw on the floor when I first saw it."

Lucasfilm recently filed a trademark for the phrase Star Wars 1313. Some assume that it's the name of this new game. "1313" is supposedly a reference to Boba Fett, as he used the alias "CT-1313" during the novel Boba Fett: Maze of Deception. I'm a bit skeptical of these theories, because A) that's a pretty flimsy Fett connection and B) Star Wars 1313 sounds like a dogshit title.

A Fett game would be awesome. About time too. Then follow it with the film. As long as GL gets someone in to edit his script!

Awesome a new game! Hopefully better than the last couple that have come out. I wonder what style and when it's set? Hopefully not too hack and slash or button prompted finishing moves like those other two. that I quickly grew bored of, with their repetitive ( though very nice to look at environments).
An updated version of Bounty Hunter would be cool, this time it's Boba's turn! 

I've been dreaming of this game since the first BH game with Jango came out. Using the Boba costume from the FU:II game made it somewhat more fun but of course, being able to use all of Boba's weapons/jetpack is more fun that a lightsaber, IMO. I'm trying not to get too excited until an official announcement, but with all this 1313 hype, I can't help but think this would be the obvious game to come out with.

actually because of my daughter I enjoy the dance off.

Dance-off mode was somewhat fun, but I agree it does seem out of place. Rancor mode was cool, and the podracing was pretty good. The saber portion of the game, which had been the main thing I was looking forward to, was seriously lacking, however.

Currently playing TOR, but I tend to solo a lot as my connection/computer likes to give me just enough lag to make me useless in PVP (it only takes a millisecond of lag for everyone on screen to jump to seemingly random spots, making it nearly impossible to stick with a target). Still, gives me a bit of a KOTOR fix.

I too miss the days of the X-wing series (I include Tie Fighter as an extension of that), the original Dark Forces up through Mysteries of the Sith (further games were still good, but didn't have quite the same mix that made it just right). While I enjoyed the Starfighter games, the X-Wing titles were so much better with the Thrustmaster flightstick and keyboard.

galactic dance off was still better than the story mode.

Exciting! I really hope it will be a new BH-game. Jango's game was great :D

but a SWB3 would be more awesome!

eh I'm a bit disillusioned with the Battlefront series. run around, shoot, get shot, respawn, repeat.... I'd rather a BH2 game, I'm more of a storyline kinda guy.

I have to agree, I like to feel like I'm heading somewhere.
I can't see why they couldn't design something that would have both elements. Its been done with lots of other games.
I wonder if there will be an online element that's so popular with game design lately?

Its going to be for pc,xbox360,and ps3 and will be able to be played online of course and they will sell extra content like maps and characters to make more money after you already buy the game I will try to post the teaser trailer may31 if I can we might have to wait till June 4???

Dont get me wrong i would love nothing more than to stalk my prey thru the streets of coruscant pilot slave 1 around an asteroid field i just hope they dont drop the ball on this. Fett is one of the most interesting and exciting characters and to be able to do all the the things he does within a game would be amazing fun.

so the investigation of phoenix wright, the exploration of arkham city, the combat of assassins creed, and then throw in a flight sim just for funsies? does that sound like the boba fett game everyone would want?

or maybe an multi game story ie: arkham asylum/arkham city/ etc... with the exploration of Arkham combine with the bettter spider-man games (web of shadows) Maybe even speeder jack ability via gta with side quests/stories vie KOTOR and voice acting vita swtor

Must lower expectation... reading this thread is getting me unnecessarily eager for something good, or at least excited over what would be a cool game. I have no real faith in Lucas Arts and their ability to produce decent games anymore, unless you're a kid or a family...

BH meets Bethesda's Fallout/Elder Scrolls series. That would be the game. You can follow the main story line, or go off on side bounties or missions. I remember the first BH, I destroyed a PS2 in Iraq because I was playing that thing every chance I got.

Lol could be boba fett arkham city..... Sounds good if you could create and customise your armour and character like mass effect. More likely will be some kind of homoginised star killer/fett cross with a bad hair cut and raspy gravelley voice to give him generic bad *** look. Cut and paste star wars skins and a few big explosions to make you go wow. I just remember watching trailer for force unleashed when he pulls the star destroyer out of the sky and my jaw hit the floor but game play left me wishing for what could have been....

Speaking of Starkiller, you checked out the profile of the guy looking down at the hole on the game site... Looks alot like the same character. maybe just generic stock image for the site, maybe a hint of the main character?? Star-Fett/ Boba-Killer:wacko

Who knows. I'm trying not to get my hopes up. At least we'll know more on Monday after E3.

What I have noticed with all new games is pay more after you buy the game for maps characters weapons etc. So maybe that's how they will offer boba, Jango or bossk mean while danger is still waiting for his big break

the amount of sunshine that gttv preview was pumping up my rectum, i have very little hope for this being a good game, just a very pretty one.

KOTOR was in my opinion the last great SW game to be released. While The Force Unleashed had some good parts, the controls were horrible. I just wish George would stop making **** really put some time and effort into something that is worth it.

My only issue with TFU and TFU2 was they were WAY too short. I hope that this isn't the case for this one. I'm hoping if we don't play as Fett maybe Fett shows up somewhere.

I'd be fine if there was at least an unlockable Boba costume or something like in F:UII

Republic Commando was also a good SW Game. It was atleast a solid FPs But way too short.
Atleast it put some Dirt and Guts into the Franchise

I haven't played TFU2, so I don't know if they made any improvements over 1.
I have the Ultimate Sith Edition of TFU1 and the extra content was cool. Kicking Luke's rear on Hoth was cool.

Watched vid..... I will reserve judgement till its released. Looks pretty generic so far....

Honestly, his look reminded me of Starkiller for some reason. If I saw both guys side by side though, I'm sure they'll be nothing alike, but had I watched the video without knowing anything, I would've thought it was F:U3 or something.

Maybe you can upgrade your armor later?....... for a real cost of course.

I know a guy out at E3 right now who says the game looks great. I'm really pulling for it since I'd love for another epic Star Wars game. I really like the new approach they are pitching for the game. Always up for the darker side of the Star Wars universe.

In SWTOR u get like 0 armor at the begining of the game and are heavily armored by lvl 40 or so. So thats forseeable Id say level up and get armor and such.

I'm not sure... in the demo I saw on footage, the guy didn't quite look like a Jango clone (Boba). While the child actor had brown hair, the adult Jango had black hair and stuff yeah? I hope it is Boba (I would dig it the most!) but I'm not putting my money on it.

That aside though, it does look like a very promising game. They also promised it to be on the darker side like the cantina and Jabba's palace (which were my absolute favorite parts in Star Wars) so that's what grabbed my attention above all. I agree that taking a step away from force powers is good (though I think it wouldn't hurt to have this bounty hunter be pitted against a jedi or sith... maybe a nice secret boss battle!). Boba or no, it's a game that I don't think will be a <puts shades on> hola-gram-girl!

Kinda hope I can get my Fett done before the game comes out. I'd be fun to wait in front of a game stop in a mall or something all day as a Fett. Anyone with me lol?

It was mentioned that the character show in the E3 videos is at this point just some kind of "Placeholder", not the finished character model.
1313 might be the reference as mentioned for the location of the underground level, but remember Boba Fett uses CT-1313 as an alias somewhere in the EU.

IMO, this could still become a Boba focused game, playing a young bounty hunter, following some mentor on his way to become the most feared hunter of all.

Ah, didn't realize he isn't the actual character model! Then I guess there is still hope!

That would be awsome to play as a young BobaFett. Something tells me though that his game doesnt even take place in the same time period as the movies and such. Just the impression I got from watching the preview.
