Greeting troops!

I am returning to star wars prop and costume making after a long while (had kids and all that RL stuff). I made Fetts and troopers back in the late 80's. I was one of the original members of the 501st, TK714 and was at Dragon Con in 88-89 for the first ever meeting. I made suits for members and for several fan made films. I have my original fett, biker, snow, Boussh and scout molds that I just took out of storage. I am ramping up for Supercon this weekend and am trying to get in touch with the south Fl 501st to see is they could use an armorer. We are running off some biker scouts for Supercon so if anyone is going, see you there!
On a side note, anyone know if Kathy Willits is still doing sewing? Or if you know of anyone who can make cloth items?
I look forward to all the new ideas out there. Sure looks like it is easier to get things these days!

Whoa! Wasn't expecting such a warm welcome. Glad to see so many passionate costumers. Thanks for the tip on the seamstress. I will indeed be contacting her.
The first guy I ever heard of making troopers was Marco out of CA. I had one of his catalogs when I was in High School back in '82-'83. Never had the $300 bucks back then to buy one, so a couple of buddies and I started making our own stuff. Mostly fiberglass back then since we used to do our own body work on our cars. I am pulling them all out of storage, gonna rip 4 sets of scouts for Supercon this weekend. Don't have a lot of time to do the cloth parts, but I can still run a singer, if I can remember how to load the bobbin that is.;)
I will post some pics as soon as I get the molds unpacked. We have been brainstorming over the last couple of weeks on some new stuff that we always wanted to have but never got around to.
I'll keep you all posted.....

welcome to our community!! so glad to have you here...sounds like you wont be needing much help....;) but we are all certainly anxious to see your molds and such...welcome aboard, captain!! (y)
