    Need General Grievous

I have been trying to get in touch with General Grievous, Wayne, for the past 11 days and have not heard a word from him. I have tried emailing him, and sending him PM's. I have seen that he has been on the board but has chosen not to respond to my PM's.

Does anyone know how to get in touch with him?

Not sure what happened to him. He sold a bunch of things in the CH and I sent him a PM asking about it - never heard back.

    Hope everything is ok...

I think he is a bit of a flake. He agreed to buy some stuff from me. He claimed he sent me a MO, but I never got one. Then he said he was going to paypal me right away. That never happened. I PM'd him a couple of times and he never responded after that.

Yeah I sent him a PM with receipt so I will know if he reads it or not. And if he doesn't get back to me then I am going to go ahead and escalate to a claim with Paypal. I mean it is getting close to 2 weeks since I sent payment to him. Who can't ship something out in 2 weeks?

I had a bit of a problem with him in the past too. I purchased an item from him, he didn't answer to PMs, e-mails, etc, and I then filed a PayPal dispute against him; got my money back, and so on.

Well Grievous responded to me. Apparently he has injured himself, but the package is in the mail (but the tracking number is at his work). So we shall see if it arrives.

I ordered something from him a couple of months back when he had his heart attack. It did get here, a little later than I would have hoped, understandably so but it did get here. Don't worry, Wayne will follow through!

    Re: Need General Grievous

I haven't been around because 2 weekends ago I was helping a friend finish up a house he was building(he's a contractor). There was a large steel sewer pipe that was left in the front yard and the Builder wanted it put into the Dumpster.
The thing was too heavy to carry so we had to hook it to the back of a truck and drag it to the dumpster. As we were trying to get it into the Dumpster it bounced back and Crushed my Right Hand. I'm right handed of course.
So I can't work and it takes me forever to type. I'm having a hard time getting everything boxed one handed.
I'm not making excusses, just letting you know why I haven't been around.
Everyone who bought something from me rest assured your stuff is being shipped and I will update with tracking #'s. it may take a few days to get it all sorted and the rest shipped. I'm not out to rip anyone off.
    And I'm not a flake!
Foxbatkllr, Sometimes Life gets in the way of our Hobbys. Did I send a Money Order? Yes. Where it ended up I don't know but was able to get my money back since it never cashed. I was going to paypal but again life happened. I should have PMed. I'm sorry.

GCNgamer128, I don't remember this but with all that has happened lately that doesn't surprise me.

But like I said, I'm not out to rip anyone off.
Besides I wouldn't have sold the stuff I did if it weren't a necessity.
    Bubba fett, jon, PM sent.

Wayne, glad to hear that you're ok. I know you have had some rough times lately. Hope the hand gets better soon.

If not I know that they makes these robotic hands that loo totally real... Oh wait, that's a movie.

    Like I said in PM.
I don't know what happened to it. Going to Germany from the US who can say.
But I sent out the other one I had to replace it.
    Hopefully this one shows up.

Let me know when it arrives.

According to the US post office, they said 5-10 days. It is in a padded envelope so I don't know if that takes longer or not.
But rest assured it is on the way. And this is the second one I sent. I have no more and it has cost me more to buy the 2 originally and ship them to germany than I sold the one for. More than likely you'll end up with 2.

ok,nothing arrived, and imo, nothing ever will. i have imported thousands of boxes and nothing ever got lost. and i don't see how 2 packages/envelopes would get lost from the same sender.

All I know is that Both of them shipped!
This is Exactly why I don't like Shipping Overseas.
Besides, If I were the type of person who was going to sell something and Keep the money but not send anything, I don't think I'd waist my time with a $5 item.
I don't know how long shipping to Germany takes. But I will tell you that since $3 shipping was paid, That was the cheapest shipping method.
The Postal worker would not give me a Tracking/Del confirmation # for this envelope. He said that once it leaves the US they really can't keep track of it unless I wanted to send it Global Express(overnight) which would have cost me Close to $60.
Not to mention you filed a Claim with paypal. And not having a tracking # to post with paypal you are 100% Guaranteed to get your money back.
So I am out the Original cost of 2 Borden Connectors, Shipping for both connectors, and the money you paid for the Item(s). And I have no way of knowing if and when you get them.
I've noticed people are QUICK to post threads Calling People out wanting to know where their Item is, but they Never follow up on the thread letting people know that they received the item in question.
You could contact me via PM, but choose to keep this a Public matter when it should be private.
It just to make me look bad.
And I don't think it is right.
But hey, I guess my opinion around here doesn't matter.

I had someone ship something to me from Germany and he shipped it with the cheapest option and it took me 6 weeks to get my item! The box was nearly destroyed...

I would trust Grevious over the postal service (not that I am trying to imply anything negative about him, since I don't know him)

Just throwing out my 2 cents!

i have sent you numerous pm's that you ignored, so you are kinda responsible yourself for this going public. you also ignored the first stage with paypal, you ignored them as well. i'm the last person to rip someone off, but gimme a break, a whole month to get an envelope over here? i only got responses from you posting in this thread, which didn't even get started by me. and as i told you before if something ever arrives i'll sent it back to you. and even if i get refund, it's no good to me because paypal will hit me with fees as well.

sorry to hear that. but you are talking about a BOX! the item in question in my deal was "shipped" in an envelope, and that does not take longer than 2 weeks the most, and that if it's slow. the average time is 3-5 days. i get recorded shows on dvd's from the states and they take 5 days like clockwork, each and every week. and not one got lost in 4 years.

The reason I didn't respond to paypal was because it gave me 3 options.
Refund your money, post a tracking # to prove it had been shipped, or to provide proof I'd already given you a refund.
So there was NOTHING I could respond to.
I guess I should have just given you a refund since your going to get one anyway.
In Fact, that is what I will do. I will tell paypal to give you a refund!
For All your Trouble and since you had to wait so long.
When I bought an Item here on The Dented Helmet that I didn't get right away, I waited 3 months before calling the person in Question out. and it was over $125.00.
And another item I bought on another forum, that I paid $400 for, I waited a Year and a couple of months before I finally got a refund.
I've been a member here for almost 3 years now and I think if I were really a Bad person I wouldn't still be here.

    Look at this:
    http://ircalc.usps.gov/IntlMailServi...1&P=0&O=8&sd=1
Both items were shipped first class mail international. The only thing that shows delivery within 5 days is Express mail. and I wasn't about to spend $25 to ship a $5 item when we agreed on $3 shipping. They Told me 5-10 "Business" days, so weekends don't count.
I don't know if you buy you dvd's from a company or individual, but that may make a difference if it is a company. Do they ship them for $3? And via First Class International? or do they send them Express?

By the way, Refund sent. This should COMPLETE our transaction. Enjoy your free Borden Connectors.

not that it is any of your business, i get them from a RELIABLE individual, shipping cost is $3.60 and sent air mail, not express. sent without protection and none got lost OR damaged in transit. and yeah, they all arrive within 5 days. and there is nothing to enjoy here for free. cause i don't have your stuff, and like i said if i ever get it, i'll sent it back to you and it won't take 4 weeks. i wouldn't want anything from you attached to my costume anymore, you cost me nothing but time and money. and i don't like to be kept for stupid. your "first" one had 4 weeks to arrive and your "second" 2 weeks!!! and both get lost, ....
end of story and end of responses.

I clicked Issue buyer a refund. I will have to log onto paypal and see what the problem is.
    I'll let you know.
Did you ever get any of the Borden connectors?

I just checked paypal. You had filed a dispute. I was under the impression that when a dispute was filed, they held that amount of money until the case was decided. I clicked issue refund to buyer. I assumed that would send you the money. I guess it didn't.
You will have the remainder by morning. Sorry, I thought the $$$ was there.

Yes I should have replied faster. For this I have apologized. But I Replied to All the PM's and know everyone has gotten there items purchased. And No One has posted saying so. Except for volkerc who I can't prove if he has gotten anything or not.
I know you got the Tusken Items and was told you already sold it on the RPF.
I don't care if you sold them, but you didn't hesitate to post that you hadn't received the items. But didn't post when you received them.
When I hadn't received an item on here I posted calling the guy out. But that was after a few months of waiting and I followed up when it came.
I wasn't trying to make the guy look bad, just concerned with where my items were. But I feel this thread is just a Bashing Thread. I also feel like there is some "Flaming" going on here. as per the Code of Conduct-"flaming," "the practice of posting messages to a topic for the express purpose of criticizing, insulting, or otherwise attacking another member or group of members. Flaming and flame wars are prohibited."
And "If a member owes you something, make EVERY attempt to resolve the issue privately. Should all attempts at a solution fail and you feel you have no option but to make a public post, remember to be respectful. Do not to label someone as a "thief". Posting a deal-gone-bad to the board should be a last resort."
I have done Everything I can to resolve any issues people have had. I Don't Know What More I Can Do.
I sent volkerc a Replacement for the first connector that didn't show and he is receiving a refund. I don't know how both of them got lost in the mail but I was told by another member from Germany that he has had Padded Envelopes held by customs.
I have a Receipt from the post office I can scan to prove the Connector was mailed.
I Really like The Dented Helmet, But I'm really starting to wonder if this is still the Fun and Friendly group I joined almost 3 years ago.
I'm not sure if I want to remain a member here if this is how it is going to be.

    Why shouldn't it be "Public"?
Members here stated that they tried using PM's to no avail.
Only after it was "Public" did Wayne respond.
Now, reputable members of other forums have spoken up about having the same issues with the same person.
I'm glad it's "Public" so I don't get ripped off by this guy.

    Re: Need General Grievous

Not trying to take sides, but my post office here has been extremely ****** lately. I've had three things arrive to people 2 weeks late and OPENED FOR INSPECTION by the post office because there was something spilled on them?!? ***? the post office was who spilled anything on them.

They were two padded envelopes, and one regular envelope. The padded envelope #1 went to Belgium, it took a month and 5 days and was ripped open and duct taped back shut. The other was to the states, took two weeks and was given to the guy in a plastic bag and a note from the USPS saying "sorry for the damages" I have had 3 packages in large envelopes not show up yet still, a month later. one to Germany and the rest in the US.

I dont know if this is something happening everywhere, but it doesnt happen when I pay more for Priority. I think they are PURPOSELY trashing non-priority mail to try to get people to want to pay the extra. Which I think is BS. just because we dont wanna spend 2.00 - 13.00 extra. when you ship a lot of things it adds up, and if people dont wanna pay me for Priority mail its a risk they are taking. If you all paid him for Priority shipping, then there is no excuse for this. But if you all paid cheap shipping... I wouldnt be surprised if you get your package in two years and its full of holes and patched with duct tape

I've started saving my post office receipts so when people start sending me nasty PMs I can show them the post receipt with their zip code on it.

Best thing you can do, always pay for insurance and tracking when you buy from people. If the person doesnt offer it, make them offer it, or reconsider buying. if you pay for it and they dont get you a tracking number, then post every place you're signed up on about it.

I'm not saying that I wouldn't like to know who might not be on the "up and up" all the time and I darn sure want my bro's and sis's at TDH to know as well.

When PMs weren't responded to I think the next step should have been to take it to the Mods. (Not sure if this was done or not, its been a while since I posted in this thread and didn't feel like re-reading the whole thing)

I know that life does intrude on people from time to time and I also know that people can lie through their teeth. I'm not saying that either of these happened or did not happen. I have no real personal "dog in this fight" if you will as I was not involved in any of these purchases.

I do, however, know that I did deal with a member (one that does a fair amount of business here) once and I feel like I was strung along for several months waiting for product to arrive and then after requesting a refund was strung along for about another month and a half before finally receiving it. After promises and PMs the PM I sent about contacting the Mods about the whole situation seemed to be the "straw that broke the camel's back" and the next day I had a refund waiting in my Paypal.

    Was I getting mad...Yes
Will I deal with this person again...No

I am a salesperson of sorts in my professional career and I feel that I try to give 110% to the people I deal with. Afterall, they are coming to me. They are doing me the favor of dealing with me and not someone else. So I do take it a little personal when I feel that I have been slighted by another seller.

I guess what my long diatribe really boils down to is that I feel something else could have been done privately to resolve the issue before public involvement.

Now if the Mods had already been contacted and still nothing was being accomplished...by all means do what you need to do to get satisfaction of debt or product.

I just really hate that any of this happened when TDH is such a friendly atmosphere in all respects and I would hate the thought of other people...newer people...not feeling safe to do business here.

    Zorg,

If you funded your PayPal payment with a credit card, you can file a dispute with your credit card company to get the rest of your money back.

That is the only way I make PayPal payments anymore.

    Re: Need General Grievous

personally, id like to have this thread locked and kept invisible to all those who arent involved in this dispute(including myself), so that it can be sorted out by anyone who has a claim in this matter... im tired of seeing all of this...

Ive been hit by a recaster before, and it took over a month for my stuff to arrive, not to mention the fact that im still waiting on some things, and its been 6 months now... and we are in the same country...

My point is, these things happen, and when they do, we can either deal with it as civilised people, or like barbarians and start opening up the nasty side of a vocabulary... especially from an outsider like zorg, who it appears has come onto the TDH just to add fuel to a flame war..

one final point though.... ive heard of many issues with german customs with postage, and most of them are attrocious... a borden does look like a pill from an initial scan, so there is your primary reason to hold it.. most of the time they will hold items like that for a few weeks and then take a look..
