Hey all. Our Garrison Titan, up here in Seattle, WA. recently attended Norwescon, a sci-fi/fantasy con. We set up a table for our group, and our Death Star backdrop, and took photos with attendees for a charitable donation to the Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center.

The event was a blast, and we raised almost a 1,000 dollars in about 4-5 hours time! Great time was had by all who attended.

Thought I'd share the pics of the event. Thanks for lookin'! :)

(I love these first 3 without the camera flash, and the jedi/trooper pic a little further down. They look kinda movie set-ish :) )

Hey, do you have that image you guys used as a really high def picture in extreme resolution? or ones very similar? I have been trying to get a hold of some really high res quality pics to make into various backgrounds for our visits to cons, for photos and such :)

If you are able to help out with ones like this one and other Death Star areas, or of Bespin Carbon Chamber, we over here in the Terror Australis Garrison-Western Australian Contingent would be very appreciative :)

Thanks, and love what you came up with :D

Matt

Those are some awsome pics! and I LOVE that background!!!!! I wish I had that somewhere. But I can honestly say, I'm sure no one else would appreciate it as I would.

Her husband Jayson was overwhelmed by your generoisty and he also
wanted me to give his thanks to you all as well.

Very cool! Great Job to you all! Hopefully I will be able to make next year's con.

Alan

Hey Alan, wow! Small world! Thanks for posting that. Yep, that was me as Fett, and we had a great time at this event, and being able to raise that money and help out like that was an honor. We met Jayson, and a few other friends, and it was very touching.

Thanks for your reply, and other post. I hope you can make it next year, and able to meet you. :)

Hey Matt, here is the link where our Vader for our Garrison, found and ordered our backdrop. There are a few other great designs on here too. Hope this helps. If you have any other questions, feel free to PM me, and maybe I can put you in touch with our Vader/PR officer who ordered it for us. It was kinda spendy, we all chipped in-640. bucks. Worth every penny. :)

Thanks for the replies and comments everyone. It was a great time, but, the backdrop really helped us raise a nice amount of money for a great cause. :)
