My new display room :)

Hi all,
I had mentioned in a a couple other threads that we recently moved from AZ to VA and have been busy setting up our new apartment. My wife will be staying here while I'm stationed in Korea, and I'll be coming back here after my overseas tour to most likely finish my Air Force career at Langley AFB.

We've been working hard since our stuff was delivered and it's finally in a liveable state. :) I've set up our computer and a lot of my SW collection in one of the extra bedrooms and just wanted to show some pics.
I decided not to mess around with my gridwall display this time. It's a lot of work to put up and take down by myself. :p So I bought some nice black shelf units and combined them to make a 9' wide display.
Here's how it looks from the doorway. Hi, Artoo!

Here's the main display area.

A couple of closer shots of the display shelves.

Above all those shelves are my autographed action figures. To the right are my autographed 8 x 10s.

In the opposite corner I placed 2 smaller matching shelves to support my scratchbuilt Millennium Falcon.

Over the top of the closet, I hung my McQ figures. I think I have them all. . . I may be missing one, though.

So there's my new "shrine." :) Still a few things I'd like to tweak, but time is running short (I leave on June 2nd) and I'm glad I had time to set up the collection. Plus it got rid of an awful lot of boxes that would have just been stacked up against the wall while I'm gone!
There are several items that aren't displayed here because I shipped them to Korea! Couldn't be without all my "toys." I shipped my entire Boba costume, my MR Han Solo Elite blaster, my Coyle Bladerunner blaster, and my Gentle Giant animated Boba maquette. As well as a few figures and my "swag" from the JB Event in Dallas. (y)
There were just a couple of pieces that got damaged in the move, but none of the props themselves. They were fine. A couple of my acrylic display cases were cracked, so hopefully once we turn in our claim paperwork I'll get reimbursed. (y)

Hehehehe, really nice the new "Prop Room", I like it. I haven't got one (at the moment :p)

You have remembered me that I must arrange my room

The printer is really nice next to the door  ;)

:cheers

Looks great Eric, nicely done. That's alot of work in a short time, maybe the next pic should be you and your wife relaxing with a beer taking it easy!!!

Is that an Ayla Secura signed photo?? Is she as gorgeous in person as her photos??

Best of luck with your move!!!:cheers

here is a pic of Amy Allen a.k.a. Ayla Secura with a good side-by-side shot. she is very pretty. Its pretty cool how she got picked to be her. almost reminds me of how Harrison Ford got his job. just google it if you want to find out more about her. and last but not least, VERY NICE ROOM SEPERJEDI!!! Be safe in Korea!!

KaanE, yes the printer is on one of my hobby drawers. The movers lost 2 parts of our computer desk, so we can't set it up all the way. :facepalm

Scott, yeah, it's signed by Amy Allen. I actually got that signed at a show in Paris before the action figure came out. Then I was able to meet her again at Jedi Con 2004 in Dusseldorf, and got her to sign the carded figure.
Here's a shot of me and Amy (and her sister!) in Dusseldorf. (y) :D
For some reason, my wife is not fond of this picture. :confused

Thanks, Vadr_h8r! :)

WOW. At first I was simply impressed by talents as a builder/Painter. Then, by your Prop collection. Forget all of that. I think i'd trade it all for THAT shot.....
