    Here's one for you Stargate fans. I haven't been around here in a very long time, mostly because I've been expanding into animatronics/electronics for our hobby. So here's my latest creation- an animatronic Stargate Horus helmet. It's made from cardstock, paper mache and craft foam. There is a build tutorial with video of it moving here-

    Stunning! Excellent work! This helmet was one of my favorite thing in the Stargate universe.

    wow, that is extremely impressive! i've always wanted to make the serpent helmet from SG-1...

    Wow, that is wicked sweet! I love those Horus guards. Ever thought of doing the Anubis too?

    ***. That is awsome! I have always love Stargate. In fact those guards from the original movie were my favorite! Awsome work!

    Thanks guys! While it's certainly not an accurate movie replica overall I think it came out pretty decent. If you took out all of the electronics you could probably make this helmet for $50 depending on what you can scrounge up for free- the electronics/mechanics add maybe another $250 in materials.

    I haven't built the Anubis head yet to see if the same mechanics will fit but I'm sure I could get something to work.

    Holy cow!!! That's friggin awesome!! You will be a humungous hit at any convention....especially Dragon Con.

    I'm more a fan of the serpent gaurd but, that helmet blows my mind on how cool it is
