My Jango is gone.... :(
Well,
2009 is starting to really suck.
My Dad passed away Sat. around 5 am Hawaiian time.
What sucks is that I was going to visit him this year, I visit him every 2nd year... and it was going to be during the Xmas/New Years.
He had a stroke 3 yrs ago and has been recovering since, My step mom said he was fine when she left the night before.
This isn't a pity thread but more for me to have an outlet... my Wife, family, friends and been great... and I consider this forum family as well.
But the reality that I'll never see him, hear him and touch him is what really hurts... I want to say I love you one more time...:cry
thx to all for helping me heal...

Re: My Jango is gone.... :(
I am also very sorry to hear this news. You and your family have my deepest condolences. Losing a loved one is always a very difficult thing to deal with. Naturally, we will always tend to question ourselves about numerous things. Maybe we should've spent more time; maybe we should've called more often, or said I love you more...etc. At least that's how I felt when my mom passed. Like these guys already said: celebrate the time that you had together, and cherish the memories. Think of how your father would want you to feel at this time. I know that it's a hard time for you, but thanks for sharing. We are here for eachother, and talking about this will help. Take care.

Re: My Jango is gone.... :(
I am also sorry to hear this.
and I wish you all the best.
There is not much that can be said at this time. Be strong. The "missing him" never goes away, but the pain gets a little better as time goes on. It does take a long time to heal. It will come and go. You will think it is getting better, then it will hit you again. Just let yourself feel it and work through it. And you will come out on the other side stronger for it.
You will learn much more about life and be able to help others.
We will keep you in our prayers!

Re: My Jango is gone.... :(
I'm very sorry about your Dad. Even though I try to tell my parents that I love them as much as I can, I know that it is never enough.
If you want to tell your Dad that you love him one more time, do it. Tell him whenever you need to. He will hear you and he will always be with you.

Re: My Jango is gone.... :(
my thoughts and prayers go out to ya bro. Take heart that he is not truely gone. You are the extension of him. You are his hopes and dreams and the best of him that is left here. I can only say that because my son is my hopes and dreams.
If I were to pass I know the struggle of life was not in vain because there is my son and I am proud of him. I can only imagine every good father feels the same way as they smile down upon us.

Perfectly said above my friend.
This is so sad....
I know this is a very difficult time for you and your family. Times I've even question myself..."Why are we here?" Why time go so fast?...Where do we go? and what would I do?..:( So many questions but no answers. 'Family' The importance and greatest gift to us all on Earth. Cherish all the positive moments you had with your Father.
We here on TDH are your family as well. :hug
God Bless you and you Family.
My condolences to you all.

Re: My Jango is gone.... :(
Oh no. I'm so sorry man. Of course my condolences go to you and your family brother :hug And I now this may not sound appropriate right now, and no matter how cliche it sounds ... in time it will get easier for you. You won't EVER forget, but it will get easier.
For the hear and now, don't deny yourself grieving for him like I did for my Dad. Let it happen, let it out. Whenever and wherever it wants to. People will understand. You don't need that regret later.
My prayers go to you ...
Chris

Re: My Jango is gone.... :(
I'm not even sure what to say... When I read the title, I thought you were selling your Jango armor... and then I read it and my heart crashed through the floor... :( I always scare myself with that thought... my deepest prayers will go out to you and your father tonight. Stay strong brother! He's still and always will be watching over you!

Re: My Jango is gone.... :(
I remember at one point, I asked why people share their lives with the forums. I realize now, its not so much a question as it is, why wouldn't you when you come to rely on a "family" for support despite what form or shape it is in.
Your loss is a deep one and saying those words should never cease or be the last time you say them . Keep his memory alive and vivid in your heart. You will find he's closer than you think and when he was here.
