My ESB Fett - Progress Report

Okay, well here's a progress report on where I'm at with my ESB Fett. This was the first test fit I've really done with all of the components I've amassed over the past few months. I'm not really the best build for a Fett, I'm only 5'9" and quite stocky, but I'm currently dieting/exercising to lose the last 25 pounds I feel I need to. All that Guinness is hard to work off!!

This is the FP V3 armour that a board member graciously painted up for me, he did a great job on it! (I'll let him chime in if he wants to take credit!). The bucket is an MR and all of the soft parts are from Bobamaker. The gauntlets I bought off ebay for $100, and reworked myself. I believe they are Ruffkins.

I have a MOW jet pack that I'm working on now and have placed an order with Sidewinder for an EE-3. I mugged my Stormy for his E-11 so I'd have something for the pics! I need to tighten up the elastic on the knees, make up some ankle straps and shorten the gauntlet hose. I also need to work on the toe spikes. I just temporarily glued them together, but one spiked snagged on the carpet and tore off lol. I also had the local Michael's order me in the doll hair used for the Wookiee braids and have to fix those up as well.

Not bad for a few months work I think, but what do you guys think? I'd appreciate any comments/suggestions/feedback you experts might have. Again, this was just a test fit, I still have a few adjustments to make here and there. And I also need to stay away from the beer!

It's looking great! What suit is that you're wearing? I like the coloring of it for an ESB.

One bit of constructive criticism for you... ESB Fett doesn't have the red girth belt, you should have one that's more brown.

The suit is a Bobamaker, I really like the colour of it as well. The girth belt is actually a dark wine-ish colour, but it looks really red in the picture. I do agree with you though, it does need to be a little browner than it is.

Ryan,

You're looking great man! I think everything really works well together.

I'll have to post my pictures from early '04 where I was a stocky fett too. I went from 250 to 200, and I'm currently at about 209, but what a difference it makes. Congratulations on working towards your goal. You will not regret it!

Thanks a lot Matt! :)

I'm down 20lbs from January, but still have a ways to go. Plus, that damn keg fridge in my rec-room makes it all that much harder! lol

That was me in '04. While I want to start working out again and drop 30 pounds by the end of the year, I am MUCH happier than I was then. Keep it up!

Wow, can't believe I missed your reply there Matt. If I didn't know any better I'd swear I was looking at a pic of me!

I haven't had much time of late to work on my suit, but the wife's out of town this holiday weekend so I have the house to myself! :D I'm going to work on my jet pack, hopefully get most of it done. I still have to figure out a harness system as well.

I made a harness out of nylon. I used the tk-409 method I believe. Took a few hours because I can't sew, but turned out very well!

I agree on the Belt dude, needs to be darker. I mixed a dark red with with brown when I did my run of ESB belts.

suit is looking good man.
