My (Cameron's) Avatar Neytiri sculpture WIP, new head post #30

Making progress. I sculpted the toes and fingers. I totally redid the right arm. I didn't like the way it was bent behind her. Got it more on a straight back pose, elow bent and knife in hand. More pics coming soon.

this is truly looking amazing. I like seeing hard sculpts instead of clay sometimes. Bondo and any other type of sandable, drillable etc. type of stuff to sculpt is great. I can't wait to see this finished. hard sculpting is the only way I was able to make the peices come out right for my ODST gauntlet sculpts

More pic update. Working on the chaps, don't have a real clear reference so...
Trying to imagine what they are made from or what they are. Could it be they are some kind of leaf or animal skin wrapped around her legs? And what is the pattern or how is it put together at the thigh? My thought is that they are pieces of a wing off a Banshee or something, cause the thigh pattern resembles that of the lead wing flaps. Any help with this?

pic update. I'm planning on making changes to the face, getting ready to order real hair micro braids. Also making progress on her necklace with real feathers and beads and hemp rope. Pics to come of that soon.

Ok so I've made some changes to the face. Good or Bad? Please let me know. I resculpted it in clay with these changes, longer face, more nose, slightly opened mouth, more expression in the eyes, and ears pinned back more in almost defensive or attack mode.

Third time's a charm, maybe? Made some more changes, slanted the eyes, fuller lips, less bony cheeks, more forehead, inhanced eyebrows, widened head at ears so they weren't so sunk in.

It looks better and better bro! I guess it needs the hair to fully recognize how great this one came out! :)

Fantastic job and awesome skills!

That last head looked great! I'm sure she'll look fantastic.

If you ever need some more reference pictures, just send me a message ;)
Got your pics. Oh Man! Thanks! This is going to help so much. Today I grinded off the remaining chap detail, starting fresh. There was so much I had wrong. I also grinded off her upper arm bands and her lower left arm braclets. Opting to put those in as hand made accessories rather than sculpted pieces. The only things I'm going to have as part of the sculpt are the chaps, right wrist guard, and knife.

Update pics. These have the new head and the at question clothing detail grinded off. Going to be re-doing her chaps this weekend. Her upper arm bands, necklaces, herb pouch, knife sheath, loin cloth and lower left braclets will be add ons and not sculpted. She looks kinda plain without that stuff or hair and just primer, but I can see the final piece being really sweet. So close now.
