Mistakes in "A New Hope"

Yeah there are alot more mistakes than that.

I think the biggest one is near the end with the incoming Death Star and the display on the rebel base showing its distance.

At first, in a fairly long interval of time, the Death Star hardly moves on the display. But ni a shorter, 5 minute interval it moves very far.

Also, when someone on the DS says "rebel base, 30 minutes and counting" the timer shown on screen is counting down from 30 seconds

ahh well, such is life. Every movies got little slipups like that. I imagine most people were too focused on the film's awesomeness to really notice any flaws :D

You also gotta take into account that by the end of filming, they had to rush alot of it, so slip ups were innevitable

Oh of course. I don't mean to reflect negatively on the movies at all, its perfectly understandable that mistakes like that were made.

The nice thing though, is that I can't really think of any mistakes that truly detracted from the film's impressiveness. It's still one of the greatest movies and part of THE greatest series I have ever beared witness to.

All thse mistakes are simply explained, first woking on a movie set with 30-40 people at a time, someone is bound to move something, the sun shifts during takes, and often objects are moved to make room fro those tight angle shots. C
