misfortune struck

I have had some misfortune lately. I had 2000 dollars saved. 500 of which, I was planning on using for Adventure Con. It was packed in an evelope and put in a box with other important stuff, and We suspect the movers stole it. Other things are missing too, such as my late great grandmother's jewelry, some plates, etc. I was angry at first, yet I'm calming down.. slowly.

That's not all the bad news though. This was a breeze compared to what I'm about to say. My Dog passed away last saturday, and it's been a rough week for me. Her name was Gidget, and she was a white poodle. I've had her since september 1999. I was off last saturday, so I was going to go buy some more shirts, and look at a few shops I've been told about. She was doing fine that morning. Yet when We came back, We were told she started throwing up blood, so my grandmother rushed her to the vet. She died before they got there.

I was looking forward to hanging out with some TDH and Mercs members again this year. Still, you guys have fun at Adventure Con, and take care.

Sorry to hear about your luck man, really. We just got a dog this past December and I know how I would be if something happened to him. I guess it's something you have to eventually try and prepare for though. I hope you can recover your money.

I am so sorry to hear that Gidget is gone. I know how much a little animal can take up such a HUGE place in your heart and in your family. I am sorry about the monetary loss too. Yeah, that would burn me. I hope everything works out for the best.

I think we sometimes forget what a large part of our lives that our pets are to us. Sorry to hear about Gidget. On top of that loss, losing a large sum of money that you have saved up can be a real blow. We'll always be here for you to lean on.

I'm right with you man. My dog of 15 years passed away on christmas of last year. I never thought it would hurt this bad.

Oh man, I am so sorry to hear all of this.

Last week I had to have my dog of 12 years put down. My sympathies to you and your family. It is never easy to lose a beloved pet.

Thanks all. I'm going good right now. My condolences to you too, SarlaccBits.

As far as missing Adventure Con, I'm probably going to try to hurry my Scout so I can troop at the next con I do get to attend

Sorry to hear all of that bro. The money can be replaced but a pet is alway a hard loss. Ive had a hard week as well and then the Chi puppy ate a tack lastnight (have nooooooo clue where he got it from) so right now hes at the vet getting xrayed.

Sorry about the things being stolen. My heart goes out to you about Gidget. I hurt just thinking about losing one of my fuzzy kids, let along losing one of them.
