i don"t own a Vader suit but, I've had the priveldge of wearing one once. I had much more mobility in it than in my mando which is armored between and boba and jango. Look at what the clones can do in the in the movies, comics, tv show and even the action figures. A poor soul in a set of clone armor can hardly sit and breath comfortably.
real world wearability of our costumes has nothing to do with the unfathomable physics of the Star Wars Universe.
There's nothing I've seen or read about Maul and Vader that lead me to believe that Maul could defeat Vader.
Again, I will concede that Maul was better, faster and more manuverable than Vader and that would be an advantage if they were non-force using sword combatants. However, Force lightening aside, Vader was a powrful forceuser. Emensly more so than Maul even could be or desired to be.
Maul was simply the best of what was available at the time for Palpatines apprentice. He was honestly more of a Hand than a Sith Lord and as cool as he looked and fought, he wasn't really that cool of a character on the level of A/The Sith Lord. In fact, nothing about him ever led me to believe he had the ability to be The Sith Lord.
Vader had the potential to be the strongest Force user in the SWU but, his potential was never fully realized because of his damaged body. However, he had pure physical strength, greatly enhanced by his cybernetics, he was adept in the force to a great degree. Who cares if you can't shoot lightening from your finger tips that can be deflected/absorbed by a lightsaber or palm of a hand? Just use your superior force abilities to seize them, not even a throat crush per say. Just seize their body and not permit them to control it. Vader had and demonstrated that ability against many other force users. Although Vader's damaged body lacked the pur speed and skill he possessed as Anakin, he learned new techniques, generally relying on pure force and wanton disregard for self. He used his strength, size and power to overwhelm his enemies. Not to mention, he was willing to sacrifice damage to the cybernetic bodies to destroy his enemies, as was seen in the one shot comic where he took out a nest of Jedi trying to destroy him (Purge).
Maul is a force of nature but Vader was an unstoppable force of nature.
The scenario could go down multiple ways. Ultimatly, Vader would sense Maul coming and his intentions long before Maul was in any position to strike. Vader would likely let his over confidence rule him and bit and would likely attempt to best Maul with the Saber. However good as Maul was, Vader was too good for Maul to land a killing blow right off the bat. Vader eventually would become enraged enough to just seize Maul with the force and squeeze him to the size of a grape.
Endex = Vader pwns Maul
