That looks pretty bad a..! Did you make it? What material is the armor? It looks really thick, but the detail is great.

Did you pepkura and fiberglass/bondo a suit or is this an OXMOX suit casting?

Very nice suit! The shoes look a bit on the large side though... is that ''accurate'' ? I can't remember if it was like that in the game???

Sorry about being in the head but it had the best lighting in the whole house. Its a casting by Adam Grumbo and the helmet is Sean Bradley. The shoes are supposed to be big like that.

This thing is very snug, I'm 5' 11'' and weigh about 175lbs. If I weighed one once heavier I would not be able to fit in this thing. So be wary if you do buy one of these. There also tight on the wrists, sometimes it cuts my wrists if I don't have the gloves on.
Just curious. Do you have a weapon to go with?

Funny thing though. The tonal value of your suit matches the wall paper in your bathroom. Sort of like camoflage! LOL. You did a wonderful job on your costume. Perhaps we shall se it at Dragon Con!
I don't know about that, I keep fighting with myself about selling it or keeping it, I want to sell it but these days trying to get a decent price for anything is hard

The suit looks great! I think the Halo series is the best thing in sci-fi since Star Wars. If you do decide to let go of it, what kind of price were you thinking?

If you got it from Adam then it is the OXMOX master chief statue recasts.
It seems like this is a basis for most people now who then work their way up to blue realm/sean bradley hybrids.
Depending on if you got castings Adam did for you or if they were just rejects he had laying around the quality can be very different. I got some pieces from him awhile back. I had a set of forearms where the left was several layers of Smooth-on liquid plastic and very heavy, while the right was very few layers, very light, but easily bendable/crackable.
Chris, this will not fit you. I had to mod most of the pieces adam made for me to fit me. The shoulders were way too tight (if i flexed even the slightest they would cut into me) and the chest if casted thick does not allow a lot of movement once connected to the back. The forearms i had to shave heavily to get my wrists through, and the thighs were also very tight.
If you pick stuff up be prepared to mod it. just a heads up.

Yeah man, I def had to revamp the whole suit to fit me and strenghten it with fiberglass. The wrists were tight and the shoulders did dig in. Its not the cleanest suit but it does the job. It is kinda sloppy but after my revamp it looks %100 better then when I got it. When the kid I bought it from sent it and it arrived it all got crushed in shipping, so I had to refit the whole suit. I made it ten times stronger though.

I saw your note on facebook, figured I'd post here. I sent those beads a long time ago, and since you didn't recieve them, I'm going to send out some more today. I can't help the fact that the postal service sucks, but I can send you some more.

I'm liking the undersuit. Any idea on the origin or source of the undersuit?
well the skin is under armor and the vest is actually a motor cross vest so it helps beef it up a bit, fills in those hard to fill places if that makes any sense
If you didn't recieve it, either I sent it to the wrong address, or the post office lost it, because I did send it.

I have actually been thinking about making a suit myself, but I'd change how people have been doing it...like makeing certain aspects that most make hard solid pieces, into ridged soft/foam parts...for example. the inside of the thigh/upper leg armor can be soft/hard foam attached to the actual hard armor. Basically, all the black areas on the suit (inner biceps for example, and the merging connection into the lower calf armor can be soft piece...I dunno, but the way I would do it would cost alot of $$

That's what I had to do, the thighs cut into me so I stitched hardened rubber to a vinyl+cloth piece and buttoned it to the hard armor.
I still have no way of wearing a lot of it without sag though. I was thinking about getting a unitard and permanently attaching patches of velcro that the armor couldn't help but rest against.
It's like wearing a stormtrooper, all the pieces don't secure as nicely as they could so figuring out how to wear it is just as much of a project as puttign together the suit
You could try something called an arming belt! Knights used to wear a wide inner belt underneath the breat plate. This wide belt then had strapping that connected to the chauces or thigh armor. Think of it like a medieval garter belt. But the thing is from having worn armor with and without an arming belt it does make a BIG difference. No sag at all.
you know what else I was thinking for securing the armor pieces so they don't sag/fall out of place? Make the armor physically attached to certain parts of the undersuit. I sit it here and look at all my figures, and references and it's obvious that the undersuit stretches around based on the movement of the armor pieces which tells me that the armor is attached directly to the undersut..
Hmm...I need to figure something out to solve this..
Awesum masterchiefs armour ,however im a halo fan myself ,do you have any close ups on the visor ? and is the visor imprinted with that certain pattern as seen on master chiefs ??.......anyone up for a slayer match on halo 3
Amazing costume, it's a really... compact looking costume, something alot of chiefs out there miss imo.

It does have that visor imprint, I had my girlfriend take pics and they were all screwy and fuzzy, so I will take a few of the helmet for you

Oh btw...I just noticed this in your pics whistle8mp..I believe you are wearing the biceps on the wrong arms...I see the back of the biceps facing forward and vice versa..I knew I saw something wrong lol
