    Mandalorian Uniforms

Here's some uniforms I've designed for the Mando Ver'verd Akaan'ade. We'll start off with the KBS-2.

    KBS-2

The Kyrbej Borar Soludar-2 is a design based on what was learned from the KBS-1. The KBS-1 was actually built and I still wear it. This includes many more features and improved quality. Some of the new features include:

    - Improved hat design
    - Shorter mandarin collar
    - Organization book pocket on right shouder
    - Better chest pocket positioning
    - USB drive pockets
    - Personal effects pocket with velcro closure
    - USB drive clip ring
    - iPhone/notebook pocket on right sleeve
    - Pencil/pen holder on left sleeve
    - Cuffs with velcro for positive closure on all sizes
    - Cuffs also feature button back up in case of velcro failure
    - Belt loops for two inch wide belt
    - Improved thigh pocket design and positioning
    - Larger knee pad pockets with improved closure positioning
    - Improved lower leg pocket design

This design also includes improved stitching in certain locations in improve durability.
The KBS-2 may become the official combat uniform for the Mandalorian Army, however it is possible that the KBS will go through another design revision before the final design is approved.

    --------------------

Here's the NKBS. The Nubat Kyrbej Borar Soludar is a varient of the KBS. The prototype is almost done. I need to add buttons to the pants and pants. I also need to get the cap and some patches made. It is made from an exisiting jacket and some sort of EMT pants.

The Nubat Kyrbej Borar Soludar is a variant of the KBS designed for non-combat duties. It was created for us in more office-like environments.

The NKBS has a more dress-like appearance as it features more colorful patches, rank epaulettes, and triangular award patches. It lacks some of the pockets found on the KBS jacket but also includes a multi-layered thigh pocket on the right side.

    --------------------

The Hibi'yam Soludar is a uniform for trainees engaging in classroom instruction. It differs from the (N)KBS in that it comes in three layers. The pants, a shirt layer, and then a vest like layer. It is more colorful and comes in one color for every aliit.

The HS is much more comfortable and easier to wear as it is not designed for the rigors of combat. This design features a notbookpocket on the right sleeve and pencil/pen holder on the left sleeve for classroom education.

    --------------------

The Ne'trase is the dress uniform of the Mandalorians. It is worn at special events other important occasions.

The Ne'trase feature a patrol cap with piping in the color of the wearer's aliit. The color shown here indicates Aliit Dinas.

It includes a mandarin collar with piping and a place for rank pins. The rank shown in this example is a Ruus'alor. This uniform uses the rank epaulettes of the NKBS and includes a aliit patch over the right breast. Shoulder ropes also indicate rank.
Mandalorians believe in utility and this can be seen in that fact that the pants of this uniform have useful pockets. There are both thigh pockets and lower leg pockets on the Ne'trase.

    Re: Mandalorian Uniforms

The Ne'trase was based on an image I found online. I had searched for Mandalorian Uniforms and found it. But I never found it again so I don't know who made it.

The Hibi'yam Soludar is based on the training uniforms used by the clones on Kamino.

But the first two are my original designs.

Yes jodo it's me! But fear not, I come unto you not to recruit, but to share my artwork.

    Which was done in Inkscape

Yes, I am part of a group that lives the Mandalorian culture in our real lives. And I am working on developing a Private Military/Security Company that employes Mandalorians. Yes I'm working on a community where Mandalorians can gather, live the Mandalorian culture, and train. However as of right now this community probably will not be within the United States. If you want anymore information just PM me, since I don't want this thread to turn into another one of THOSE threads.

This is about the original KBS, KBS-1. These pictures were taken before it was completely finished. My wife was kind enough to sew these for me. I blurred my face so you don't have to look at my ugly mug.

    Re: Mandalorian Uniforms

Hm... I wonder if the authorites will see it as necessary to "keep an eye" on a community/society where people are dressed in BDU's on a daily basis, and live the life of fantasy mercenaries and their made up culture?

I find it a little unnerving that people base their everyday life on living out what's essentially fantasy and fiction, made up to be just that, fantasy and fiction. But heck, it's free world (more or less).

Excuse me .............not really too much you can say about something like that .

I thought the military uniform concept was interesting, but I don't think this is something to do in real life. Of course I've day dreamed that Star Wars or other movies were "real" because the monotony of everyday life can be boring, but it really shouldn't go beyond day dreaming. Anything more than that sounds like an unhealthy obsession.

Just out of curiosity, what would one do in this mandalorian culture? Declaring oneself as a mercenary is illegal soooo I'm just wondering what you would do. I'm sure people would rather hire former SEALs, Recon Marines, Green Berets, etc. to do this sort of thing....not some Star Wars fan.

I don't want to sound like I'm making fun of you, but I just don't think this is a good idea or a healthy obsession.

Really Uniderth, did you just sit and count down the past three years so you could come back and do the EXACT same thing that got you banned the first time? My suggestion to everyone is simply to not encourage him.

    Re: Mandalorian Uniforms

Not to hi-jack this thread, but if anyone is interested I am creating a society where jedi, sith lords, unicorns, and Elvis impersonators can all live togther in peace and harmony.

Because of the earthly limitations of this planet, we are going to organize in the galaxy, RU FING CR8ZY.

    PM me for details..........

I am so sorry, I went too far, that was out of line.

Take no insult uniderth, it's all in good fun. But after reading this, I am scratching my head a little. I won't judge you, as I know nothing of your intentions, but you have to understand, from the readers view, this seems a little over the top.

But if I may say, if you want to dress in fatigues and live amongst a group of combat ready soliders, do what I and many others here did, join the United States Armer Forces (if you are an American) and serve honorably. If you live in another country, join their miliatry. Trust me, you will get an sense of satisfaciton unlike any other.

By the way, you have some interesting artwork. I would suggest getting rid of the BDU style hat for the dress uniform. That hat looks more like a utility hat than a dress hat, make the dress hat more like a campaign hat.

Yeah, I've been revising some of the hat designs. But you're right the dress uniform hat does look a little undressy.

    just wondering?...

have you done like the administrators of the 501st, mandalorian mercs and rebel legion have all done and contacted lfl's legal department advising who your group is, what it's about and requested permission to use their copywrited terms and symbols for your group? or, are you using their names, likenesses and symbols in violation of copywrite laws? just wondering?

WOW... I thought TDH was a place of open minds. While I do not agree with Uniderth's Ideals. I really can see how making fun of him will change him. ..NOT .

AZHEAT the military does not LET everyone in! irregardless of how many of their marines and troops you teach hand to hand to off base! or what your skills are. There are lots of civilian ways to acquire near or Better training than the military.

Warriors are born irregardless of what a government thinks.
Uniderth and many others are victims of our society which creates a void for those who ARE warriors but are not given the opportunity to have a warrior job. I Hunt , teach martial arts, train dogs, fish and hike. If uniderth eventually has his security company I say good for him he finds his place in a country that no longer respects traditions.
I see you all singling one person out and bullying him. That's just not what TDH is about and I am sorry but be glad I am not an admin because I would consider taking action against you as well as him.
This thread is supposed to be about his uniforms not his politics so c'mon. You guys have given kudos to people whose attempts at costumes were not up to this calibre.

Biggest problem there is that these aren't costumes. These are a fasion to him. They are great designs. But that's completely overshadowed by the lack of common sense in this guy.

Ok if you're not going to contibute positively to the thread STOP POSTING!

This thread is about the uniform designs I've posted. It's not about me, my history, or my goals. If you want to keep discussing that please find somewhere else to do it. This is not the place for it.

    Now back to the topic.

I enjoyed the way people's opinions changed after they knew who the guy was. I've got no comment on what he's done before, or is trying to do.

Uniform wise, though... On the "Ne'trase" uniform, on the chest is a Fett symbol. That's not a Mandalorian symbol. It's a Fett thing.

    That is all.

    ...

    lol.

    Yeah. That was pretty interesting.

As far as the Fett symbol goes it's just a place holder for a patch. Probably a unit patch. Since there is so many possible variant it was easier to make a place holder then to make an image of every possible varient.

    Thanks for your comment.

Ok gang, as much as I dislike Uniderth's ideas, so long as HE keeps this thread only about his uniforms and not his "plans" he is allowed to post. So. what does this mean? That the rest of you need to show some respect as well. No antagonizing, no making fun, no egging him on. This thread will stay on track. If he starts talking about the "Mandalorian Army" stuff, then he will cause his own thread to be closed and he will be asked to leave. However, the same is going to go for all of you. If you don't have anything to contribute other than "feeding" as Slave 1 pilot put it, then get out of this thread and find something else to do. NOW!.....

I've been on vacation, so I haven't really had a chance to reply to this thread.

The uniforms look cool, but a Mandalorian wouldn't wear a uniform. Mandalorians aren't a regular army in Star Wars...so they don't dress out like a regular army would. Mandalorians are a bit to individualistic to use anything like this, not to mention what do the non-human mandos wear?

Cool idea and look, but not for a Mandalorian.

The KBS are like BDU's. Armour would be worn on the outside. This is just the base.

The NKBS is a bit more formal than the KBS. Armour would not be worn with it. The HS would not have armour as it is worn during classroom instruction.

    The Ne'trase is formal.

I'm also working on hot weather versions of the KBS and NKBS.

and where do you hide your firearms?
Any accessories would be worn in appropriate carriers which would, for the most part, be attached to a web belt or other LBE. I don't know why one would need to hide accessories. However accessories would not need to be worn all the time.

I hope you had a great vacation!

Yes I agree with you here. Addidtional The Star Wars Mandalorians would have something much more advanced than this. But these designs are for real world Mandos who are in the MVA. Since there are not any non-human Mandos in the real world I don't have to worry about that.

Cool idea and look, but not for a Mandalorian.
Thanks. I'm not designing them for Star Wars Mandalorians so it's alright.
