If Lucas really believed that 2012 is the end of the world, he would have stopped making the Clone Wars series, shut down his Lucasfilm company & take his family & go into hiding.

Keep in mind that Lucas is also planning to do the entire Star Wars saga in 3D & that's due to begin in 2012 and it will end in 2017. The first chapter, "The Phantom Menace" is due to be released in 3D in 2012. There is also talk of a new Indiana Jones movie. (Why would Lucas bother releasing the entire Star Wars saga in 3D and talk about the new Indiana Jones movie if he really thinks the world is going to end in 2012?)

As stated before, Seth Rogen is very well known as a prankster, and he loves to pull the press's leg. (You should have seen him at the San Diego Comic Con. That guy is a comedian. Pure & simple.) Seth Rogen even turned rewrote the straight character of Britt Reid and turned him into a comedian in the new "Green Hornet" movie.
