Luke's Lightsaber on auction!

Hey everyone,

Happen to have a spare $150K around? That will at least get you an opening bid on Luke's hero lightsaber prop from ANH and ESB.

There are pages and pages of awesome Hollywood props up for sale, including Indy's Fedora from Temple of Doom, Arnold's jacket from T2, and Christian Bale's cowl from Batman Begins. Lots of great stuff to drool over.

Man, if only I were rich.....

GG

All we need is for someone to offer the ESB Vader saber and we'd be laughing, we could re-enact scenes for money, who needs a fixed abode anyway when you've got shop doorways and a starbucks latte (y)

Woooow. I just spotted something I would immediately jump on if I didn't have any financial worries in life.

It's the hero ghost puppet from the end of Raiders of the Lost Ark, the one that swirls around a bunch of the nazi's, then floats up to Toht and scares the bejesus out of him.

Let me think about this for a minute. I could also live on the streets up with you guys, and I can wear this ghost on my shoulder like a creepy white spidermonkey.

I'm still going through this whole catalog and a funny thought just occurred to me (well, I found it funny anyway).

The coolness factor aside, can you imagine how nerve-wracking it must be to handle all of these valuable props for photographing? Many of them are resin and I bet somewhat brittle from being decades old.

I also wonder what would it feel like to drop a priceless piece of movie history and have parts fly off when it hits the floor
