SWEET!!!
Hey!!!!! That'll be cool!!! I hope its a new sculpt & not just a repainted Fett!!
I dont see battlefront 2 darktrooper![]()
Neat!
But... when are they going to make more Knights of the Old Republic figurines?! *sobs uncontrolabley*
You just might hafe to wait for SDCC Sareth Dorn!No telling what big H has up its sleeve.
![]()
hooray!!!
mark 9/25 on your calendars! jodo is coming to town!
The quad cannon clone and the BF2 clone would be nice to have.
The quad cannon ARC Trooper has been known about for quite some time, in fact, there's pics out of it.I don't have time to find them right now, but after I come back from work, if no one else has posted pics. of the CW wave, I'll go grab them for you.

Craig, where are you mate!?!? :p
Very first pic of a Jodo Kast figures!!!!! Looks like it will just be a repaint, but what did you expect, belt accessories or something?!? -
![]()
Craig, if you don't whatch out, I'll hafe to start PM'ing you!
Here's the higher resolution Pic. -

Looks like he has block under the left gauntlet (That'd be its right gauntlet), hopefully its the belt accessories, its proboly Fett's thigh pouches which Jodo doesn't have. He's got braids, and he's got a dent, I may hafe to burn down some factories if they don't remove the dent.![]()
Also, wrong rifle for the TEOD Jodo, wrong boots, no chest symbol.....what else...I see a few more things, but those are the MAJOR ones...Hopefully they're corrected before release.
Also, although I'll let it slide, the shin tools.
EDIT - Just a disclaimer, I relise its a repaint, don't think I didn't know?![]()

Oh we have been pestering Hasbro for some non-repaint figures for awhile now. Mercs finally wormed our way into the weekly Q&A Hasbro does, and the question of "Is this figure going to have it's own sculpt?" is usually part of one of the 3 we get to ask.
So far the answers look mildly encouraging...but you also get the run-around.
Mercs SW figure questions to Hasbro.
Don`t get me wrong...
I`m excited as all hell, but I knew they would do the figure poorly.
From that pic, it looks to be a sad repaint of Fett.
Why can`t Hasbro do anything right?
Well, my main beef would be the fact that it looks to be the Carkoon Fett sculpt, instead of the VOTC or Evolutions mold.![]()
So JK3 doesn't mean Jedi Knight 3 then.........![]()
Nope...
I`m JK3.
And still disappointed in the figure.
Craig, we thought the artists had a hard time with their colors...
Guess its just a mock-up.![]()
Buy two. One to keep in its Hasbro container of doom, and another to mod and make 100% canon Jodo.
There's a 100% canon Jodo? You should tell Craig about it.![]()
Color change paint anyone?![]()
Latest pictures from Comic-Con look slightly better:

Paint color looks closer and I think he has the extra details/boxes on the belt.

link no worky
Bad paint scheme, no belt accessories, and the wrong jet pack top.
Hasbro could`nt get anything right if they tried...

I wish they would of went with the originaly planned comic 2-pack. I'm gonna guess the chance of a new sculpt would of been better. Not to mention for an extra $3 I could of had another Fett, and another TEOD comic.
I like how they even changed the refrence image to yellow.

It still looks awful.
I had such high hopes.

Nice repaint of the ESB Boba.![]()
That build a droid thing at the bottom right seems cool, doesn't make up for Hasbro's Jodo failure.
Well Craig, I guess people at cons will still call you Boba :p, since that figure does nothing to show off how cool looking Jodo can be.
All Hasbro had to do was ask me, and I could have given them some great reference pic....
Grrrrrr.....
What a waste.
And yup Remo...you`re right.
Kast is waaay cooler.

You know it's sad when all they do is slap a different paint job on a figure and call it a different character, I mean we can do that ourselves, they should make new sculps on figures every time... shame some companies don't have the passion like us fans. Leaving us feeling tormented about whether we should waste our money or not, on a repainted toy. Sorry, just my opinion.
G-Fett

P.S. - Craig, welcome to TCF.![]()
"YN: In regards to the Jodo Kast figure - Any chance you will re-release him with a real articulated body like the Mando warriors offered through EE? The current release has a lack of features. Will we ever see Jodo Kast on a better, articulated body?
H: It's unlikely that we will release another Jodo Kast figure. It took so long to fit this one into the lineup as it is…"
Bleh......
They could have done sooo much better.

idont see why they(hasbro)can just take the time and effort to make a new sculpt for different characters every time, heck they can even raise the price up a buck'n'a half if they really "need" to cover the cost and id still buy it. and kids will still want it so the would make a profit anyways, i chalk it up to laziness here
While you or I may be willing to pay a buck or two more per figure to have every single figure that comes out be a new sculpt, the retailers carrying the product are not willing to have the figures go for a higher price point. The great blue evil Wally expects more for less. Hasbro has to work smart and reuse molds whenever possible and save up for a new mold tooling. There's a reason there's usually only a few new figure sculpts and a few figures per wave that have a large number of deco hits.
Believe me, I can tell you personally the designers at Hasbro would love to be able to make new sculpts for every figure and have them be beautifully painted and detailed. Hasbro is really not this evil entity looking to screw you out of your hard earned cash. I assure you. You want to blame someone direct it at Walmart.
Yeah!!! Let's blame walmart!!!![]()
wal-mart is taking over the world!!!!!!!!!!! everbody run for your lives!!!!
*blames WM because of peer pressure*
I realize i may have sounded like a crazy forum poster crying to leave my omgsuperawesomefavoritist company alone, but what I had to say is the sad truth. I've worked in the toy industry at both Hasbro and Fisher Price, in fact on some Star Wars stuff (I was actually getting to work on a turbo tank concept about 3 years or so ago which got killed at the time due to budget and a lot of the McQuarrie figures). WM unfortunately pretty well sets the prices for figures. And if a company wants to sell a product to walyworld and still actually profit they have to pick their battles. It means at the beginning of a figure wave you know you will only have say 90 deco hits for the entire wave if you want to have say for instance 4 new figure sculpts tooled up for the wave. May sound like a lot, but stop to think there are 5 to 6 deco hits on the head of a figure alone (whites, iris, pupil, eyelashes, hair, and eyebrow) Then there's the boots, a strap, a wash or wipe to possibly dirty a firgure.
If an investment is made in a new sculpt, a lot of times the company is going to get their moneys worth out of it. Like why the two female mandos have the same bodies. Its not feasible to do a specific sculpt for every new figure, sad but true.
So what happens is like with the Jodo figure. They know they want to add Jodo as a new character. It just isn't in the budget for a new sculpt, and ultimately his costume is pretty darn close to Boba's, so they use a Boba body. May not be the best dream solution, but a kid (They are toys for kids afterall) probably won't nitpick the details.
I'm not the best at talking thru the keyboard, but I figured I'd shed some light on the matter from the perspective of someone who's been in the industry at one point.
i have to agree with you it is the sad and undeniable truth...
Great points John. It's always interesting to here from people who have some inside knowledge on the topic. Given the opportunity to go back Hasbro and work on Star Wars or stay where you are working on real armor designs which would you do?
Why can't toy manufacture companies listen to the fans? Or perhaps have done some research with the creator of the character? Seriously though! Don't these toy companies have a R&D Department (Research & Development) ? ? ?
Thanks for posting my brother.
And keep on sniffing.
