Star Wars Projects With My Boys (now building R2)

Alright, so here we are about a year later. He calls me to come look at something cool he set up and I find this.

He wanted me to take a picture. I told him it was awesome!

That's awesome I wish my kids were still that age and playing with all the cool Star Wars toys. I still do... lol.

Yeah man, it is awesome. We have so much fun. The time sure goes by fast, right?

It sure does, enjoy it while you can. The best I can hope for now is the rare 2 on 1 light saber battle in the back yard. or a Star Wars Nerf gun fight. still fun though.

Moving right along. Told him I'd have it done for his preschool graduation on Friday. The pressure is on!

Well I got all the painting finished and everything put back together. I've never painted a Falcon before but it was just as fun as I thought it would be. I think it came out pretty cool for a busted up old toy. What do you guys think?

That looks great ! I got mine out and been staring at it for weeks now. Looks pretty sad with some of the decals coming off from 30 odd yrs of hanging around my house . Maybe I'll give it a go.

If you want to print more stickers for your Falcon check out this site they have several scans of the original sticker sheets. Including some that I donated. It may take a little playing with but they will print in full size and cost nothing.

Most of my decals fell off long ago and what was left started flaking off just with handling. It was pretty bad. Almost everything was broken or missing (not from me, we got it at a yard sale back in the early 80's). I took this as an opportunity to fix all the stuff I couldn't as a kid. I LOVED this toy. :)

I took some pics of some of our toys this weekend. A little background on this stuff... When I was young I would buy every Star Wars thing I could and keep them pristine in the packages. When POTF2 came out in the 90's I was in heaven. I bought a ton of stuff up until around Attack of the Clones came out. Everything went into storage after that. Flash forward years later, and I have a ton of great toys boxed up in my parent's basement. My boys LOVE this stuff. We tear those packages open with reckless abandon. I'm so glad this stuff finally gets played with. Don't worry, nothing is really valuable! Lol.
