karline-2000 From EBAY

What is this world coming to if you can't even trust a guy in costume. hehe, i gotta find some humor in this. He finally did contact me; saying he "forgot about me." He said he would refund me, but I guess we will see. Unfortunately I did not use a credit card. I'm really bummed that this guy is getting away.

:facepalmThis don't look good..... "Forget":confused By the way, no news from him on my postal tracking yet.... a few more days and the credit card company I will contact.:(

Me too. I will let you know the progress and hope all turns out well. I just hope what he says is true. I didn't want to affect his ebay feedback with out giving him a chance....

I'm all for giving someone a chance, but 31/2 months is a lot ridiculous. From my perspective, having spent almost 14 years in law enforcement, the man is taking advantage of you. I would contact some 501st members from the UK garrison and have them pay this schmo a visit if they can find him......patience is one thing but it's about time to re-enact a scene from Goodfellas on his sorry little.................you get the picture. Make no mistake about it, this guy is trying to take you for a ride. For your
sake, I hope I am wrong.

As far as affecting his feedback, who cares. If he starts to get negative feedback and people don't buy his stuff, maybe he will feel motivated to ship in a timely manner....either that or he will just stop selling. Either way, the probelm gets solved IMO.

Good luck bro.

Thank you for your concern on this issue that we have with the ebay seller.8) I am begining to have a bad feeling.:angry

Easy to solve, you have his area of residence, and obviously his name from paypal. Google the local police station in his area, and report him for theft... or a meth lab.. or something... :D

Only if he screws you over of course... I had my friends in the Queensland Police ready to summons Bentley O'Toole if he didnt send all my stuff... sent me what he owed me before i had a chance, but never replaced what he promised he would... Im cutting my losses.. best thing i can do is warn people off his gear...

I hope your stuff arrives in undamaged and properly made :D Good luck bro :D

I placed a stormtrooper helmet order about 8 months ago. After it failed to show up, I asked him about it and he said he'd send me another. Well that somehow never arrived. He's never given me any tracking number information. Well, two months turned to four, then six, then eight. I finally had it with him. Constantly promising to ship out the helmet and then selling the exact same one on eBay. Why can't he just send me the one he's trying to sell?

Each time I questioned him, he made a promise to send it out. And the promise turns into week and months of no communication.

I contacted eBay and they said that if you don't report unshipped items -- despite the Seller's promises and all good intentions -- then they can't follow up on the situation.

I've kept every single message from Karline-2000. Previously I had a successful order from him. This would have been my second transaction ever. But promise after promise, he failed to deliver.

I wholeheartedly agree with the warning against this individual. Steer clear.

Hi Mac,

I agree, he hasn't reply to me on my tracking number for my TK lid as well. Neither did he bother to reply to my dispute console at ebay.

By the way, did you give this seller a negative feedback?

Thanks for the headsup and Peace

He also stopped replying to me when I asked him about the tracking problem with the tracking number that he supplied.

There is a small claims court in the Uk where you can file a claim on line. But ebay is the first to go and prevent any other potential buyers from getting burnt. I will do my last 7 days wait for the item to appear. Then I will decide to file a complaint to eaby.

Peace

filing a complaint with eBay is no good. Don't wait the 7 days, just go ahead and contact the authorities. It's the only way you're going to see any money back.

Thank you for the advise which I will seriously consider. Meanwhile, I have e-mail the postal service in the UK to authenticate the postal number/ airway bill, as well as the status of the shipment. That will be part of the building up of evidence for this case in question.

The reason that I am giving it another week is that the seller may be busy creating props for replacing those that were damaged, so not attending to e-mails... I hope.

But when I do take action, there will be no holding back.8)

Darth,
this guy is notorious for stealing honest ebayer's money. i say file with the authorities if you have to and don't wait. I live in the usa so i don 't know if i should call local authorities.

Thanks for the heads up wolfie.

I received a reply from parcelforce on the postal tracking number. I was informed that the delivery time to Hong Kong is 5 to 8 days. I am not in Hong Kong! I was promised by the seller a tracking number, but the post number does not entail a tracking service, therefore I can't track it. I am getting a final confirmation on the destination of the postal number.

And looks like Karline2000 is leaving ebay, the imperial guard helmet is the last 3 he is going to sell.

Karline2000, if you are reading this, read this well. I hope all the above were due to poor management of your sales. But if I do not receive what I bought, and I have communicated to you on these errors that you have made via ebay, but no reply from you.

And if I do not receive my item in the next week or two. I WILL MAKE IT MY YEAR 2008 RESOLUTION TO TRACK YOU DOWN AND BRING YOU TO JUSTICE. IF I FAIL IN YEAR 2008, I WILL CONTINUE IN YEAR 2009 AND THEREAFTER UNTIL I GET YOU. YOU WILL BE SURPRISED HOW RELENTLESS I CAN BE AFTER BEING SCAMED TWICE BY INTERNET SELLERS AND YOU WILL HOPE YOU ARE NOT THE SECOND, "MY FRIEND" (AS YOU ALWAYS USE THIS TERM IN YOUR E-MAILS). There is no way you can escape in this information and electronic age.

Peace

I don’t like getting involved in other people’s affairs, but GO get ‘em!

I recently bought some non-star wars items on Ebay and had two different sellers try to scam me. These items arrived in a condition that did not match the auction’s description. Unfortunately the one seller got away with it. S/he kept saying they were going to send me some replacements, but as soon as the time period for making a claim expired their end of the communications went dead. I wrote a long email to Ebay regarding the seller and the situation. I received an email saying “we’ll look into it” followed by a lot of canned/scripted advice. I don’t think anything was ever done.

When I dealt with the second seller I wasted no time. I gave this person a chance to put things right. I explained the situation to the seller and they more or less told me I was out of luck... NO refunds:angry. They then went on to say if I didn’t like the item, I should sell it to someone else (but then I’d be no better than they were). They also said PayPal nor Ebay would stand behind my claims. Well I immediately filed a claim with PayPal. It took awhile because PayPal needs you to communicate with the seller over monitored emails (to see if the two parties can work it out on their own). The seller started to get a bit nasty at this point. They basically called me a trouble maker, they found me a nightmare to deal with (even though I paid the full funds minutes after the auction ended) and they would block me from their other auctions (I was so disappointed with that one;)). I escalated the claim and left it with PayPal to decide and guess what - - PayPal is getting my money back (fingers crossed)!

So the moral of the story is... Use caution with any seller (the bad ones out weight the good ones). Remember you're doing business with these people, if it starts smelling FISHY file a complaint with Ebay AND PayPal as soon as possible. You’ll sleep better.

Well that’s my two cents, good luck!

Thank you. I understand how you feel. Sincerly, I hope your claims works out and you don't lose anything.:cheers

This is the guy i bought my Tk lid from on ebay, didnt have any problems with the transaction but the lid itself wasnt the best, im thinking that maybe his selling techniques have gone down hill and needs to be given a wide birth!!

Good luck with it all SC, hope you get it sorted asap.
