Don't know if you guys have seen this, but it was pretty cool. Took the wife to Disneyland for her 24th birthday, and happened to see this while we were there.

I filmed just over 8 minutes of it, and my memory card ran out of room right at the end.

Wonder if they were from the 501st. :-P

Nope, those are Disney cast members. They do it at both Disneyland and Disneyworld.

Yes they are Disney cast members, but I know for a fact at least one of the Stormtroopers at Disneyland is also a 501st member. He was a 501st member before being cast as a Stormtrooper.

A group of us from the Golden Gate Garrison hit Disneyland last year right before C4. We sat through this and made sure to cheer loudly for the TK's, Maul and Vader. Ended up sitting behind the "control booth". At the end of the show, Vader, Maul and the two TK's all looked at us and either saluted, or gave us the thumbs up. After they left, the guys in the booth turned to us and said they had a message for us from the actors and they thanked us for cheering for them. Apparently, Imperials get no love!

That is hysterical. I wonder how long they plan do have that. My twins are only 2 and I can't wait to take them to amusement parks.

Ok that sold me, I know I plan to do an RC, but I have to finally cave and add a TK to my list....I mean, being a clone is great and I look forward to it, but there is something about being one of the Stormtroopers.....well or a Royal guard....gah I am so totally hooked the more I think on it the more things I would like to costume.....

The "Socal garrison 501st member" that is in the JTA is Edgar Gallego
He wore his TK to the audtitions- got the part with no prob
The suits they wear at Disney are not FX, they are Disney suits
    & the blasters are Hyper-firm

I dont know about that. From what ive been told by my friends that work there they have to supply their own costumes and do their own make-up. One of my co-workers is married to one of the guys that plays Darth Maul.

Well, with the upcoming release of the Force Unleashed game in September, stormtroopers (TKs) will be more in demand.

My 4-year-old has done this twice, so he's a veteran of the academy. And he will let anyone who will listen know that he "completed" the Jedi Academy. I am trying to get a short video of him up on youtube.

He was very lucky that on both occasions he was able to fight both Vader and Darth Maul. Most of the kids only got to fight one or the other.

(My son is the one standing next to vader with the big smile....)
