Yeah it was very good!
STAY AFTER THE CREDITS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Plus, I got to see new "Indy 4" and "TDK" trailers back to back before the movie!
Ditto! The best Marvel movie! I love it, is the BEST YEAR MOVIE IMO! :thumbup
dang it!!!! i new that there was gunna be something after the credits, and my friend was like no no! errrrrr
Just saw it this after noon....AWESOME MOVIE! This is by far one of the best Marvel movies yet. And Stan's cameo is classic!
And yes...stay after the movie. Not much, but a little treat![]()
Took my younger brother to see it tonight just got back, great film and Robert Downey Jr really makes Tony Stark believable, what was at the end of the credits?!?!?!?! we missed it![]()
I saw it last night at the sneak. It was wicked awesome. The clip at the end just made it that much more amazing...SPOILERS...Did anyone put the clues together about the secret goverment agency? I totally missed it till the end.

As a rule we stay till after the credits for every movie we see, just in case. More and more movies have something either part way through the credits, around/during the credits or after the credits.
I saw it too! It was awesome, I took my mother along and she loved it.![]()
I too am in agreement. The movie completely rocked!!!
It really was a great movie the wife and I loved it. Big grins all round but we didn't stay till after the credits. What did we miss?? Still we could go and see it again. Oh and Yeah Stan Lee's cameo was a cracker.....made me laugh anyway, but I'm eaisily amused![]()
Saw it today, it was great! The clip after the credits was cool! I wonder how much they paid him for that small of a part?
(voicing opinion without trying to give the ending away)
Yeah but why could not they have not found someone to be that character that looks the part from the comic. They did a great job with find Downy to play Stark. The "look" of that character is why I thought the character was so F'n awesome.
I hate it when they do a movie and change the looks of the characters from the comic.
And I wont bring up Ed Norton as Dr.Banner,I thought the other guy played the part prefect.
To answer Solocaser I think the answer is:
Supreme Headquarters International Espionage Law-enforcement Division

In the comics, yes. But in the movie it was the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics DivisionOriginally Posted by LOPERO
This movie was Amazing! plus we got new trailer for The Dark Knight (I'd already seen a pirated version of it last week but whatever) I loved all the action and humor in it. I was the only one of my friends that got Rhodes' line "Next time, baby"![]()
The movie chose the "look" for this character based on the pre-existing Marvel Ultimate Universe.
That "ultimate" comic character was modeled from that particular actor's appearance long before the actor was cast for that part.
... it's strange, but true, and that's what makes it so dang cool.
Wow..thank you for explaining that I did not know and or look at it like that.
I still see that character(not giving away who is being discussed) through the eyes of a eight year old when I first read/saw this character.
Boy ,do I feel oldin not knowing this characters appearance was changed at some point. No wonder I odd looks when I comment that "thats not him"
I am sorry to come across so judgemental of the choice of the actor .Then they most certainly got it right![]()
Saw the late show on Friday, awsome will cover it cause TDH is a family friendly site. But also on that note, you should be punched in the head if you miss out on seeing this movie in theaters.
But since I saw the 10:15 pm showing and I had to be at work at 05:30 am today I didn't stay untill the very end of the credits... Can someone PM what happened, I can't wait till next payday to go find out.
And to answer your question Solo, I litteraly slapped myself for not putting the acronm together sooner.
Is it just me, or did the ending remind any of you of how very similar XXX's (both) endings are? :P Cant wait for the Hulk![]()
I gotta agree with everyone else's comments about the flick. AWESOME!!!! I wish i would read this earlier so I would have known to stay for the end credits, but I was afraid of spoilers!!!
D
Unless you have something really pressing going on right after; anytime you go to see a movie, especially stuff like this always stay till after the credits!
"Recent" movies I can think of off the top of my head with stuff either midway through or at the end of the credits:
All 3 Pirates of the Caribean
X-Men 3
Iron Man
Transformers
that's just what I can think of right now when I'm half asleep and not really trying.
Make it a habbit!
i think Harold & Kumar 2 also has somethin after the credits...
yeah from the voice, i know, it was HIM...
hey guys,
i was away for the weekend(traveled to Cleavland for Gigantour) just got home to catch up on everything.
Ok here we go...some info!!! Did anyone catch the marvel logo in the beginning of the movie? It has changed to "Marvel Studios." Marvel has started their own studio with Paramount Pictures to make the movies. The reason we never heard or seen other heroes in other movies was due to the movies being owned by
different studios. For example Spider-man is owned by Sony Pictures and X-men is by Fox. Due to that, they can't cross, Now with Marvel having their own studio, the heroes can show up anywhere.
So Iron Man ie Tony Stark can show up in The Hulk! Future movies being worked on are:
Iron Man 2
Captain America
The Avengers
Thor
Black Panther
Nick Fury
As far as X-men go, the script for Wolverine is done but hasn't been started yet. Young Magneto's script is still being worked on and apparently won't be started till after Wolverine. And X-men 4 is on hold because of the other two movies and the original actors are wanting more money and making it difficult like Halle Berry did for X-men 3.
ok thats enough for now!
.
To the contrary, they have started filming the Wolverine movie. Here are some set picsOriginally Posted by Makan

so i was wondering, after tony crashed in the desert near the beginning, did anyone else think, "look sir, droids!"
I was thinking it when the Terrorist guys from The 10 Rings went looking for the parts :P
btw ive got some release dates here for you for the next moviesall confirmed from Marvel, seen here. http://marvel.com/news/moviestories.3493.Marvel_Movies_Assemble%21
"Marvel Entertainment released their first quarter report to its shareholders this morning to coincide with the announcement about the success this past weekend of Marvel Studios' first production Iron Man, which grossed an estimated $104.2 million domestically and over $201 million worldwide. The announcement included an update of Marvel Studios' feature film slate with the already-rumored Iron Man 2 announced for a release on April 30, 2010, followed by three more movies for the summers of '10 and '11. Matthew Vaughn's Thor is set for a release on June 4, 2010, and The First Avenger: Captain America (the working title) will kick off the summer of 2011 on May 6, followed by the highly-anticipated and foreshadowed The Avengers scheduled for July 2011. (Edgar Wright's Ant-Man is also listed as being in development with no release date set.)
In a conference call this morning, Marvel Studios' David Maisel said that Iron Man 2 will be used to introduce Thor. Regarding more "Hulk" movies, Maisel said "We definitely plan on continuing." He added that development continues on Spider-Man 4. "I can't give any other updates other than to say it's in development and everybody's excited about 'Spider-Man 4,'" he said.
With that in mind, one can start expecting a lot more announcements in the coming months about creative teams and casting for those movies including who might direct the Captain America and Avengers movies. (Whomever plays Steve Rogers AKA Captain America presumably will be making two movies at once.)"
So to recap:
Iron Man 2 - April 30, 2010
Thor - June 4, 2010
The First Avenger: Captain America (the working title) - May 6, 2011 The Avengers - July 2011
Hope that makes everyone that little bit happier![]()

I got the shield right when he said it. The thing at the end just topped everything! It was the best marvel movie yet. Does anybody else hate those fantastic 4 movies? I think they're no good what so ever. Maybe it's just me.
I kinda liked the Fantastic 4 movies. I don't read comics though so that may have something to do with it. My exposure to the Marvel characters is limited to cartoons and movies from childhood (OK and some now too LOL), reading the packages on the toys that I think look cool, other people talking about them, and reading some character backstories on Wikipedia when a new movie is coming out so I get a better idea of what's going on.
I knew who was in what was referenced at the end of the movie after the credits and I knew the name of the person saying it, but not much more than that.
I grew up reading the comics, so I like things to be kinda close to those in the comics. I think they had the wrong actors for the fantastic 4. Robert was the perfect Iron Man. I don't know why they change things, but kinda understand for the new gen and all. Just my two cents.
this movie was tense!!! just saw it tonight, and i have to say, it wasnt probobly the best marvel movie yet, it was the best. the CGI was very convincing, and the actors were perfect. Loved it, and highly sugest it.
I just came home from seeing it. That was a lot to put into 2 hrs, but they did it and I loved every minute of it.
Everyone said 'Stay though the credits' because there's a surprise at the end. I did. Those are LONG credits. I think they hired extra people just so they could list more credits. It was worth it, I was surprised, and happy.
Ive found that a good way to entertain yourself and your friends while waiting through credits is to read aloud the strange names some of the people involved have
P.S. the farther you get down the credits, the funnier the names get
Agree that this movie was the best Marvel Movie yet. I did not stay for the credits. What was shown? I think that its been awhile since the movie has been out so it would be OK to say what was shown at this point. Was it just a quick shot of the Hulk? Hulk and Stark? Thanks.
Paul D.
It was a scene introducing the leader of shield.
if you know the comics you know who were referring to. Played by sam jackson.
The captain america shield laying on the desk was pretty cool too. In the scene where he says 'lets face it this isnt the worse thing you have caught me doing'.
I understand that the sequel is centered around war machine.
