INTERESTCHECK TDH BASED CALENDAR 2010

Hey guys!

I was bored at work today and started thinking... Maybe it would be cool to make a calendar for 2010 with pics featuring TDH members in their costumes.

Interested parties (just to have an overview):

1. TehEl1ite
2. FettDad
3. BooBoo Fett
4. Bobby Fett UK
5. PEEL1965
6. Lucksy31
7. KalamMekhar
8. escho34
9. xfettx
10. ilikebmxbikes
11. C1RCA
12. webchief
13. FettSniper
14. Alpha-Ø2
15. Mereel
16. Madmartigan
17. ShocKWavE
18. mckenic
19. Ordeyn
20. Shiruba
21. mmgraphics
22. FettOfficer
23. tk2647
24. askywalker98
25. MAULFETT

My thought are that the members who have/are willing to get/are going to get professional/semi professional pics of them suited up will be featured in this calendar, one member for each month. And if Art wills it, we can use one of the JB images taken during the JB project for December as a finalé.

If there´s interest I would do a run for everyone who wants one. I´d probably make it a limited number as I definately don´t have the capacity to get made and ship hundreds of them.

It would be a 100% non-profit project on my part!

The reason I ask halfway through the year is mainly to ensure that it´s possible to have it done by the end of the year. Getting in pics etc. could easily take a while.

Let me know your thoughts guys! :)

Here´s the general layout of the calendar that I made today:

Great to hear guys! If enough people show interest, I´ll set the wheels in motion.

The layout will be tweaked a little more and I´m thinking that that the members featured in the calendar will have their real name, TDH name and possibly which Boba version they have, added with their picture.

I once heard said..."Speed is just a question of money. How fast do you wanna go?" Well, replace speed with Fett and you're on my page. I am short a pair of Wickedbeard gauntlets and a MOW jetpack. Hope to fix that soon.

I am very interested in your calender idea. Can I make some suggestions and/or ask questions

Are you planning on putting the public holidays on the dates and if so will it be truly international for all members,

Secondly, I would happily pay over the cost for some money to come back to TDH and have this be an official TDH product with logos and lettering etc.

Done right this could be a great item.

I've thought about the holidays, but haven't decided yet. I also thought about putting historical SW-based happenings and stuff on different dates. Not sure yet.

I also considered the possibility of suggesting this as a form of donation-thing, where people can pay what they like and all the money that exceeds the cost of production and shipping will go to TDH. But this is probably something that Art would have to chime in on:) But making it the "official" TDH calendar with logos and everything would be cool!

My only fear is the concept growing past what I am able to handle, that is why I, for now, have suggested it be a limited edition thing. I'll know more on this once I have looked more into the logistics of the idea. In order to do that I first have to gauge the interest and see how big (or small) a project it can turn into.

It could be official and limited in numbers.

I am sure you will have enough interest to get it off the ground and for more than you can make!

Great to hear guys.

I'm guessing that if we hit 50 (ballpark number) it's a doable gig.

I'm gonna check with the printpeople where I live tomorrow what the price would be and what size batches they can offer. I'll also check the difference in price on semi-glossy and glossy printpaper.

But again, this all comes down to you guys having good quality pics of yourselves to donate to the project:) It's nothing without you.

Would there be a "committee" for selecting the 12 calendar pictures ?? OR maybe a public voting by those members that weren't able to submit a picture?? I would think that the project would get VERY large if you didn't limit the pics to BOBA/Jango. Where should the pics be sent?? Just a thought...

I think the best way to pick the "winners" would be a public vote, a committee might also work though.

As to what costumes should be included... My first thought was Boba/Jango, but to be at all fair (seeing that this is something I'm doing for TDH) it should be open for all the costume types that TDH covers. 12 ROTJ Boba's would be a bit much. Hehe.

But, in the spirit of TDH I'd like to keep the focus on the bountyhunting:) Again, this is also something we could poll to decide.

Input is welcome!

Oh, and pics can be sent to: cr4nky@gmail.com

yeah. the only problem i may see is people may not get on the calendar that may want on it. i think that public vote would work. like say, submit 2 or 3 pics per person, and then they get posted and then people vote on the 12 they think would suit the calendar. just an idea, but as much as id love to be on this... if i am not, im getting a calendar regardless. such a cool idea.

Yeah, I think a public vote is the way to go. And I at least hope that it would be something people bought even though they didn´t get on it.

I was thinking that could have the top 10-20 that didn´t make it on the calendar as a collection on the back. And I still want JB in his costume as the December pic:)
