Interest\signup for Hand Crafted, Wooden, EE-3 Webley Stocks

Webley stocks are made from English black walnut. A little more expensive and a very hard wood. You would want stain it with more than one color stain. STain it once with a black stain, sand it down, and go back over it with a red stain. That's the technique that was commonly used for gunstocks during WWI and WWII. It's quick but still comes out looking like it has a lot of depth. And if you find the right
of wood it almost looks elegant and regal.

: )

just my 2 cents

Me Too! Sidewinder kit is coming in the mail, Taco sling in hand, some original molex connectors from Art, and my Heiland flash tube. This will finish it off nicely!
...any word on the price differences in walnut?

hey Scott, just out of curiosity, will the wood stocks be lighter than say the solid resin stocks? like the ones that come with the sidewinder kit? thanks...:)

My guess is that the wooden ones WILL be lighter than the solid resin one. The resin one is VERY solid, and has a good weight to it. When I pick mine up, i'll weigh both of them to be sure.:cheers

Hey Scott, hows Walnut?? It has a dark tone already, and all you would have to do is use wood oil and steel wool to finish....of course considering you did an ESB stock.;)

kinda like this:

That DOES look fabulous, but wasn't on his list. I'm sure for the right price you could get EXACTLY what you wanted. I'm actually trying to get him to join TDH since he's a star wars fan(vader mostly).

For me, my ROTJ EE-3 is getting painted black so the wood isn't too much of a concern. I just wanted the look, feel and weight of the wood.

Showing my ignorance here, What does the steel wool do for you??
