Interest\signup for Hand Crafted, Wooden, EE-3 Webley Stocks

Showing my ignorance here, What does the steel wool do for you??

steel wool is used to pull up the fibers of the wood. so when you sand it down it gets as smooth as possible. if you use tru-oil on your stock *tru oil is a specially made oil for rifle stocks which makes it shine* you use steel wool to pull up marks on the stock. hope this was helpful

well that's cool... i got excited about my Seven kit and already made a wood stock though, and the bracket...whoops

now it's done

Yep, sorry for the lull in follow ups. The Carpenter(Greg) emailed me about it and he's going forward with the WALNUT stock. They seem to be the preferred wood, but he will stiff offer the less expensive Fir. He didn't give me a price for WALNUT yet since he's still not completed the 1st prototype yet but it will be more then the Fir wood. I'm hoping to have the final numbers this weekend. I'll keep everyone posted.
