I'm hi-def! :)

Hey TDHers
"I've just taken my first step into a larger world."
While I was in Korea this past year I saved up enough money to upgrade my entertainment system. So yesterday I picked up a new Sony Bravia 1080p LCD TV and Blu-Ray player!
I snagged the Blu-Ray copy of Blade Runner as my "first movie" and I was just floored by the picture!!!!! :thumbup The detail level and overall picture quality is just incredible.
Even the standard def channels thru Cox cable are much improved from my old TV.

Does anyone have any recommendations for movies that look really good on Blu-Ray?

If you're a sports fanatic, like myself, there is no comparison.....You're next flick should be Dark Knight. Amazing in Blu-Ray!

And POTC. I've seen it at Sears many times.

Nope, not def.
Been looking around at movies that are on sale. These are a little more expensive than I'm used to!

The dark knight is really good but to me for overall experience you need to get planet earth. I've watched it since it came out and I'm still amazed by it. Another great one is hellboy 2 and if you have a new system or looking for one hellboy 2 has unreal sound. Discreet 7 channels Mmmmmm haha. If you have any questions about home theater stuff send me a pm.

Once it comes out, get BSG as well.
